The Beatles - Revolver

I’ve decided to remaster some albums and tracks that have already been released.  Just felt I could give them a different kinda sound...

I import the audio files into the daw and then usually load one or more processors of some kind (vinyl, compressor, desk emulations etc) on the stereo master buss. This is configured to colour, shape the sound. My versions are sometimes lower in vol level than the originals. Some releases are hot to signal, but I'm looking for an inherent sound.

Sometimes I apply some chamber and or hall reverb.

I made edits to Across The Universe, took out the lyrics,

There's some pagan references with the names here, to different pagan religions, not saying John was pagan, he wasn't, just lacked a little perception on this one. But not on many other things eh?
These names are also heard over the outro of the original (without the Om), I faded the track out before this.
(Interestingly David Bowie also took out these lyrics on his version of Across The Universe, on the Young Americans album, 1975).

-Hey Don Felder did you know that my father named a character after you in The Plumber* (1979). Not too many people have the name Don Felder, I haven't heard of anyone else. Peter saw your name on one of The Eagles albums as I recall it, thought why not use that name for one of the anthropologists in the film, the American guy. 
But I think you and the other Eagles can take it as a homage from him.

Rubber Soul es el sexto álbum de estudio de la banda británica de rock The Beatles, lanzado el 3 de diciembre de 1965.

Producido por George Martin, fue grabado en solo cuatro semanas para así poder aprovechar el mercado navideño. A diferencia de sus cinco álbumes anteriores, Rubber Soul fue el primero en ser grabado por sus autores durante un periodo específico concreto, sin ser interrumpido por giras musicales o proyectos fílmicos entre las sesiones de grabación del álbum.

El álbum fue descrito como un logro artístico importante de la banda, teniendo un amplio éxito comercial y de crítica, y haciendo que los encargados de la reseña tomasen nota de la visión musical que The Beatles iban desarrollando.

La edición original británica reflejaba la influencia del «soul» que mostraba el título de la portada del álbum. El listado de canciones cambiaba en la edición estadounidense, que incluía dos canciones acústicas provenientes del disco anterior británico Help!, dando a la versión americana una impronta de folk rock que los críticos atribuían a The Byrds y Bob Dylan.

Rubber Soul es a menudo citado como uno de los mejores álbumes en la historia de la música popular. En 2001, la cadena de música por cable VH1 lo colocó en el número 6 de entre los mejores 100 de la historia. 

En noviembre de 2003, la revista Rolling Stone lo colocó en el puesto 5 de su lista de los 500 mejores álbumes de todos los tiempos. 

A excepción del álbum británico A Hard Day's Night (con todas las canciones compuestas por Lennon-McCartney), este es el primer álbum de The Beatles (tanto en el Reino Unido como en los Estados Unidos) en que solo contenía temas compuestos por la banda.
