In the early 1930s a group of literary enthusiast, including theologians & philosophers like C.S. Lewis, formed an informal literary group where members could freely trade ideas, share their works, and enjoy fellowship with like minds.  This association of writers and thinkers was known as “The Inklings”.  In 2016, four creative artists, whose literary work is accompanied by the beat, have resurrected this moniker, looking to share their work, and message, with the world.  

Florida based Lamp Mode Recordings artists, Hazakim, consisting of brothers Mike and Tony Wray, are best known as the Messianic Jewish voice in the world of hip-hop culture.  After releasing the critically acclaimed Theophanies, their follow up album entitled Son of Man cracked two Billboard charts, landing a top ten spot.  Now expanding their horizons in this collaborative effort, they are eager to up the ante of creative expression while continuing to direct the listener to the Messiah.

Jesus Peace is a NYC-based Gospel hip-hop duo consisting of band members Randy Mason and Damion B. Sanders. The name "Jesus Peace" is a play on the term "Jesus piece" which refers to the gaudy medallions depicting Jesus’ crucifixion worn by today's flashy mainstream rappers. The name Jesus Peace was chosen because of its relatability to the hip hop community and like a rapper's "Jesus piece" on his chest, it makes a bold statement for Christ.

The Inklings’ first public offering is “Hands Up”; a smooth-yet-hype ode to classic east coast hip-hop.  The beat is by the legendary emcee/producer Peace 586, whose resume, stretching back to the 1980s, includes classic works with Freedom of Soul & the Tunnel Rats.  With Peace on the beat, the Inklings present a witty wordplay filled, catchy record that tells the listener to surrender, with hands up, to the Lord.

Json wrote this song "Love Me" as a dedication to the love of his life, his wife. This song is a snapshot of their journey of love and is meant to be anthem for others who know they are loved and live to show that love in return. "Love Me" features vocalist RIP and was produced by D-Hood and Dee on the Track.

It’s been almost a year since S.O. released So It Ends, and the Nigerian-born, London-raised rapper has been back in the studio creating new music. 

Following up the release of his first summer single I See You – a track dedicated to all the godly women around the world but particularly his fiancée – Parker’s Verse is just a song where S.O. puts his emcee skills on display. 

“Just a bit of bars over a G.P.-produced track,” S.O. said. “It’s been a while since I did that.”

The song gets its name from an encounter S.O. had while traveling. 

"I met a kid in Hawaii named Parker. The song is named after him. He's not even old enough to understand it, but when he gets older, he will know their uncle did something for them — solidified their name in music history," S.O. laughed.

All of us have heard David and Goliath told in such a way that we are taught to primarily see King David as an example for us to emulate as we fight the giants in our lives. However, the Lord Jesus Christ made clear in Luke 24:44-49 that the Old Testament is mainly about Him and His death and resurrection on our behalf. 

In the first release from his forthcoming album and book "The Unfolding," Timothy Brindle seeks to show how David crushing the head of Goliath is really a vivid picture of the unfolding of the Genesis 3:15 promise, pointing forward to Christ crushing the head of the Serpent, for us!

The label’s first international artist – born in Nigeria and raised in London – S.O. recently relocated to Texas. The song’s title is reflective of a drive he now makes routinely. 

“My church in Texas where I live is off of that road,” S.O. said. “I drive there at least three times a week. The song is just me saying, ‘Here are some of the things I’m thinking through when I’m riding. Here’s some of the stuff going on in my life.’ I just wanted to make another record speaking about my experiences and speaking about what’s in front of me.”

The History of Redemption recorded in Scripture contains a striking pattern: God judges the wicked with His waters of judgment, while saving His people by bringing them through these waters of death. This is seen especially in the events of the Flood, the Exodus, the Book of Jonah, and the stormy-seas miracles of our Lord Jesus which all preview the baptism of wrath which Christ would undergo on the Cross in our place in order to rescue us from the “Lake” of Fire. The Scriptures call each “salvation-through-judgment” event, a baptism: the Flood (1 Peter 3:20–21), the Exodus (1 Cor. 10:1–2), the death and resurrection of Christ (Mark 10:38, Col. 2:12), and the final fire judgment (Luke 3:16–17; 12:49–50) are all described as baptisms, providing a rich redemptive-historical background for the sacrament of baptism instituted by our Lord (Matt. 28:19–20).
