Cultivated Electronics presents 'For the Floor Vol. 2', the second part in its new split EP series on vinyl only sister label CE LTD. This instalment heads deep into the techno / electro sound with 4 club focussed tracks.

The A side sees Dutch techno stalwart Darko Esser a.k.a. Tripeo make his CE debut. He shows an absolute masterclass in bridging the space between techno and electro with 'Bullshit Detector' and 'Echo Cages'. Forward thinking futuristic grooves!

Also making his CE debut is Spanish dub techno producer Francisco Aguado with his new electro focussed alias Cycloplex. 'Hypertension' and 'Alarm Activated' are both brooding, deep tracks that blur the lines of the genre and are firmly aimed at the dancefloor.

Concept:
Whispers of the Valley is a three-part opus, highlighting the talent of emerging and established artists alike, including a remix by Luigi Tozzi. The project came to life with a field recording sample bank gathered during a workshop at La Vallée Electrique 2022, from which we asked producers to compose a unique track using at least one sample.

Whispers of the Valley Part. 2:
The valley shakes, illuminated by a play of vibrant colours, the sounds and colours blending and transforming into a psychedelic symbiosis that recalls the magic of the place.

As the night falls, the dancers bring the hypnotic sounds to life with their graceful and fluid movements. The flow of their bodies revealing boundless passion and creativity. The atmosphere is charged with energy and the experience is unique and unforgettable.

Morphing Territories music explores the delicate balance between power and emotion. His timeless approach to techno is based on the hypnotic and unpredictable atmospheres of modular synthesis and field recording.

Transparent Sound are the original dons of UK electro, not exactly household names yet an act with so many under-repped classics that once you dive into their catalogue you might end up emptying your bank account on Discogs. 

To save you going down this calamitous path as well as to finally, raise TS to the level of notoriety they deserve, Tresor Records is very proud to announce the release of Accidents 1994-2023.

Formed by Orson Bramley and Martin Brown in Bognor Regis in 1994, Transparent Sound have managed to create 30 years' worth of some of the best electro from the British Isles, despite claiming to not know what they were doing nor how their instruments work. 

It's likely that it's this lack of knowledge that led to the quality and longevity of their output - the pair experiment and tinker with the machines until something pleasing appears then follow that sound down whatever path seems fruitful: "the confidence of ignorance" as a slightly more-famous Orson, Orson Welles, once put it. 

This tactic has paid off well and found them stumbling into many notable adventures, from remixing The Cure to performing during an intermission between two halves of a lecture - none of which they understood as it was in Spanish.

The compilation collects a lucky-for-you 13 of their most glorious electrical accidents on a three-disc set including the dancefloor hits Punk Mother Fucker (a mainstay of Villalobos sets at the time of release), and No Call From New York (as heard on Helena Hauff's perfect 2017 Essential Mix).

The package also comes with 'Windows To Your Sole' from the unreleased white label Transparent Sound 007, other unreleased tracks, and special 2023 edits as well as six digital bonus tracks.

Dalmata Daniel welcomes Filmmaker and Petros Spatharos for the eighth part of their split series. This obscure 3-3 track vinyl is the debut of the Columbian music maker on the label.However, for the Athens-based producer it's a return after his participation on "Dalmata Daniel eats Lahmacun" compilation. But this project isn't their first collaboration, because Petros released his first album on Body Musick, Filmmaker's own imprint.

Filmmaker probably doesn't really need to be introduced to those who are comfortable with contemporary underground music. In less than five years he has composed and released a huge and relevant oeuvre by himself or on labels such as the UK-based Opal Tapes, Dutch Tartarus, Greek Phormix or the Italian Veyl, etc. To add Dalmata Daniel to this list is kind of a dream come true for the label, because they have been following his musical journey since the beginning. And no doubt, his side of the vinyl is another testament to his already perfected sound. What you recognise from the first moment of this noisy, industrial, sometimes dissonant ebm driven electro, infused with a film noir atmosphere and total darkness.

While on the flip side, Petros Spatharos keeps the obscurity going, which is the real link with his split partner's music. Only his sound is clean, not chaotic, but rather underworld techno with an extremely restrained tempo and some beyond-the-grave acid screams. That's how this inferno journey will be complete with full of dark emotional atmospheres and hypnotic textures.

The first artist-focused EP on Pulse Records is coming from the duo Entelechia, two of four founders of the collective. The mind gets lost in a world of refrains and incantations, lulled by kicks and snares.

We are happy to premiere “A feeling of ikigai” by Nathan Surreal as a part of collaborative compilation series coming from exciting Amsterdam collective De Lichting.
The Japanese concept of ikigai is a personal journey of finding a sense of purpose or meaningfulness in life. Although each ikigai is unique and relevance can vary, we all can instantly relate to an urge to get the right life balance and fulfillment in existence.
Nathan Surreal’s take on ikigai is an electric ride through dynamic, open dreamscapes projecting a nowadays preoccupied reality. Emerging on the outside inertia, a distant mantra-like voiceover progressively evolves into a leading role and guides all elements in place.
The third sequel of a De Lichting compilation series named 'Drie' will be out on October 30th.
