We are delighted to welcome up-and-coming Hamburg-based producer, Simon Ferdinand to the Landed camp - an artist who is producing some of the finest Raw, Deep House music out there at the moment! Tipped as the rising star of 2014, we are honoured to have Simon as one of the Landed team and roster.

His new EP, Back To The Raw - as the title suggests - sees Simon delivering four original tracks of stand-out, raw vibe. Already moving dance floors across the globe and gaining support from notable DJs such as Delano Smith, Norm Talley, Gari Romalis, Alton Miller, Santonio Echols, Moomin, Bazz, Moodymanc, Varoslav & Jon Reynolds.

A1: Jack My Records - Original Mix: Simon kickstarts the EP with a jacking, dancefloor destroyer. Tough drums with a strong rolling bass-line, worked magically with smooth-moving sound design and spoken words. It's guaranteed to take the roof off, given any right moment.

A2: Tissue - Original Mix: Moving on seamlessly, Tissue takes us further adrift into our journey of the Deep via a 60s psychedelic vibe. Tightly knitted drums backed with a serious low-end bass-line create a sincere and tough vibe from the start. Add in jazzy keys and subtle drops to keep things flowing at a solid pace, and Tissue leaves you with a natural high sensation.

B1: The Ironic Truth - Original Mix: Profound and deeply emotional, The Ironic Truth is a delicious slice of warm goodness, flavoured with lush soundscapes, edgy chords and a deep grooving percussion. Enter the fathom world of the underground, which Simon seems to know quite well.

B2: Yellow Snow - Original Mix: The EP finishes with a beautiful masterpiece. On Yellow Snow, Simon really showcases his outstanding ability to captivate with quality Raw Deep House music. Combining dreamy keys and a smooth bass-line with tight grooving drums and percussion, Yellow Snow completes this stand-out EP in true underground style.

We are truly honoured to welcome back to the Landed imprint one of the originators and true players of the Detroit House music scene, Norm Talley.

Over the last year, Norm has been working hard on a remix project of his 2012 Landed hit, Travlin - resulting in two stunning Dub/Techno/House classics, The ReWorks.

A very special, black and yellow, limited edition 10" vinyl cut of The ReWorks is being released to coincide with Record Store Day 2014 on April 19th. The two-tone coloured vinyl will only be available to buy in record stores as a celebration of Record Store Day. The full release will hit all major online stores two weeks later on black 10" vinyl. So if you want the collector's copy, get out and support your local record store!

As with the original Travlin EP,  Norm wrote and produced The ReWorks using his fully analogue set-up. NO computers, NO digital limiters, No gimmicks. Just pure, warm, deep Detroit goodness. And, as the perfect compliment, the EP has once again been mastered by Geoff Pesche of London's legendary Abbey Road Studios using the EMI TG analogue system. The result - a quality cut sound, fully produced and mastered through an analogue process - is indeed a rarity these days.

A Side: Travlin - Part 1
Starting off in true Talley style, Norm treats us to his trademark 909 drum vibes complete with a strong jazzy stab which will cut through the dance floors like a hot knife through butter. The tougher ReWork of Travlin, Part 1 engages you instantly, captivating the soul. A perfect ReWork of the original classic!

B Side: Travlin - Part 2
Part 2 takes us on a strong, Travlin dub trip. Raw tight drums with a Deep grooving baseline work seamlessly with the warm 909 percussion and haunting Travlin string to make this dub version the perfect track to warm up any party. Another super ReWork of the original classic!

This stand-out 10" wax is a true Norm Talley collector's item and is certainly a record not to be missed.

The supremely gifted Mancunian, who has the talent and know-how to truly build a groove, has made Deep and Jazzy House indisputably his home. 

Releasing hit after hit to a flurry of rave reviews, his status as a highly acclaimed jazz musician and DJ/producer continues to set him apart from the rest.

We are also delighted to welcome Detroit House legend, Rick Wade, who has been busy on remix duties for this sterling release.

One of the stalwarts of original Detroit House, Rick's distinctive sound draws on a mix of soul, jazz, funk and disco. But, with a career spanning more than 20 plus years and a reputation as one of the premier House mixshow producers in the world, he really needs no further introduction to house music aficionados. 

His new album, Never Ending Reflections will be hitting the shops soon - so watch out for it too.

Lastly, staying true to our love of quality sound, Geoff Pesche from the legendary Abbey Road Studios is on the mastering once again.

A1: Father - Original Mix: This late-night, jazzy Deep House number positively exudes a magical vibe. No matter when you play it - warm up, peak time or after hours - this track always works. Moodymanc's bright and tight percussion blends seamlessly with the deep keys and melodic balafon riffs. Perfect subtle drops and fat dub vocals complete the perfect picture. Classic!

B1: Rick Wade - Daddy's Disco Mix: The Detroit legend uses his alchemy here, digging deep into his bag of dirty disco tricks to produce this stand-out, funky, uplifting remix. Combining angry disco drums with trademark funk-filled riffs and tuneful key changes, Wade gets you on your feet with this start-to-finish crowd-pleaser. Another guaranteed classic!

B2: Moodymanc - Sugar Hill - Original Mix: Moodymanc rounds off the EP in style with this smooth and solid, late-night offering. Heavy swung drums, peppered with lush keys, Gospel chants, Sugar Hill vocals and a raw sax solo, combine together to produce jazzy Deep House at its finest.

One of the original members of the West 6 Mile Detroit crew, which was born out of the last days of Disco, Norm's 25-plus year career has built steadily to earn him his well-deserved ranking as one of the world's most respected DJs.

An artist who concentrates on releasing quality not quantity, Norm’s roots remain firmly embedded in Soul, Funk and Disco - hence the raw, deep and soulful House music he produces.

This release, as with all his releases, is written and produced through Norm's fully analogue set-up. NO computers, NO digital limiters, No gimmicks. Just pure, warm, deep Detroit goodness. Raw tight drums, deep jazzy keys and subtle drops throughout keep this track fluid and rolling. What more can I say, this is Deep, late-night House music at its finest.

B1: Travlin - Original Mix: Picking up the pace from A1, Norm shows us just why he earned his moniker, 'Silent Warrior Of The Deep'. Mixing his trademark 909 drum vibe with deep, stirring pads, you know you're in for a treat straight from the off. The track then builds elegantly with a captivating reversed sax refrain that takes you on a magical journey through the deep groove. A true Norm Talley classic!

B2: Analog Dreams - Original Mix: First made over ten years ago, Analog Dreams has been a hidden gem for a long time now. So we were over the moon when Norm finally agreed to release this Detroit House classic with us on 12" so we could unleash it to the masses. Proper fun-filled House music from back in the day!

Known as 'The Born Entertainer', Dwayne Jensen is one of the key artists who helped to shape the Detroit House sound and the new evolution of music we now call Techno.

A self-taught DJ, musician, producer and writer, the Detroit-born native started off as a Jazz drummer & percussionist before gaining respect worldwide as one of the true Detroit superstars.

We are also delighted that Geoff Pesche from Abbey Road Studios is back on the mastering and has worked his alchemy on the release.

A1: Ignition - Original Mix: Dwayne starts this timeless EP with a powerful and switched-on Deep Detroit number, rich with filtered pads and trademark drum sounds straight out of the 909. A solid piece of modern House, this relentless, driving classic takes no prisoners

B1: Deep Dive Dub - Original Mix: Dwayne really shows us what underground House music is all about with this moody, stirring number. Jazzy keys and funky bassline conspire with raw and tight percussion to produce a track which is off the fathom charts. A personal favourite of Mr Jensen's, this is a sure-fire crowd-pleaser guaranteed to warm up any dance floor.

B2: My People - Disco Nights Mix: Finishing the EP off with a bang, we are over-the-moon to be re-releasing the all-time classic, 'My People'. Originally released five years ago on a 12" compilation album, which only ever made a small run, it's high time this track was given a full release.

Fun, infectious and uplifting, if this isn't the track to get a party started, I don't know what is. This solid EP mixes a delicious slice of past and present, and is a rare record not to be missed. Play it loud!

Emotional and poignant, 'Darwin's Theory EP' is a perfect mixture of true underground House music. Giovanni's understanding of the raw and deep far exceeds expectations.
