Life on Earth has endured through six major glacial periods, also known as ice ages. The most recent one took place approximately 21,000 years ago. Since then, planet Earth has been in an
interglacial period known as the Holocene. This period abruptly ended in the year 2079. Due to human-induced climate change, the Earth's temperature dropped to below -93 degrees Celsius.
Life became nearly impossible. However, the Berlin-based mitmischen crew had foreseen this and built a spaceship years in advance. In about T-3660 seconds, they will arrive at their new home: prog-xima centauri b. Upon landing, the mitmischen crew could feel the vibrations emanating from the ground even
before they disembarked. As the spaceship's door descended, they were met with a surreal sight: A vast landscape illuminated by a pulsating neon glow, with countless aliens of all shapes and
sizes dancing rhythmically to a beat. A tall, luminous being approached them. It had translucent wings that shimmered, refracting the lights of the party, and its eyes glowed a deep shade of indigo. "Welcome to prog-xima centauri
b," it said in perfect human English, its voice harmonious and soothing. "Our intelligence networks sensed your journey, and we've prepared this gathering in your honor."
As the crew walked further, they noticed the sophisticated sound system, which seemed to be powered by an unknown form of energy. It emitted a captivating blend of electronic music,
synthesizers, and cosmic sounds, unlike anything they had ever heard on Earth. The crew, still adjusting to their new reality, hesitated for a moment. Then, a member named
Niklas, driven by the music, began to dance. One by one, the rest of the crew joined in, their moves intertwining with the aliens'. The barriers of language, species, and galaxies faded away,
replaced by the universal language of music and dance.
As the suns of prog-xima centauri rose, casting a dual glow on the horizon, the party reached its crescendo. The mitmischen crew realized they weren't just refugees from a frozen Earth – they
were now part of a larger cosmic community, connected by the mesmerizing rhythms the universe
has to offer. 

The next day, the crew began their new lives, forever grateful for the warm welcome and the promise of a fresh start. And every year, to commemorate their arrival, the residents of prog-xima
centauri b and the human settlers celebrated with an epic intergalactic party. It was a reminder of
the beauty of unity, exploration, and the power of music to bridge worlds.
