Linkris releases the 2nd Installment of his new Hip hop audio series: “Giftige Venootskappe” (Toxic Partnerships)

As a tribute to Cape Town and the broader Hip hop community, Linkris has decided to release a free project, symbolising that unity in Hip hop is alive and well. The concept behind Giftige Venootskappe is simple: There is power in collaboration! 

Most of the songs that form part of this series were created while Linkris was travelling both national and internationally. The aim of this project is to showcase some of Hip hop’s most talented, hard working but often overlooked emcees and producers. Giftige Venootskappe is Hip hop in its purest form and contains various languages and very contrasting personalities too!

In this installment Linkris teamed-up with a veteran spitter from Johannesburg (Jsec) Chron Burgundy. Both Linkris and Chron speaks on the topic of humility and how important it is for people, especially fellow artists to remain grounded in a world that is constantly encouraging selfishness and ego. 

The song has a very strong and biblical message but Linkris & Chron delivers it gently without coming across as “preachy”. 

A new song will be released on a bi-weekly basis so stay tuned to Linkris’ social media pages for updates.
