New song, pretty different this one! It's a bit on the short side this time so if you don't like it it'll be over in no time. However, if you do like it you can just listen to it twice, or more, I won't judge you for having weird taste.

A little bit about and recording this:
Recording went smoother than expected, the only trouble was that fucking bass in the main riff/intro, lots of puzzling to get that sounding OK :D Guitars are played with my Fender tele through a Carl Martin compressor and a EHX soul food into a Kemper with a Fender twin reverb profile. I also make frequent use of phaser and octave effects. Bass is a Fender jazz with a bit of compression, some parts also have distortion and flanger. The amp is my "bass profile" on the Kemper. It sounds like a bass, what do I know. Drums are digital, it is what it is. "Mixing" is as usual, I just adjust the levels and add some EQ and run it all though the same reverb and hope it sound like I knew what I was doing. Still trying to find out what mastering is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

När jag gick till bilen efter mitt sista arbetspass på VCCs karossutveckling idag så spelade jag in denna hyllningen. Låten var inte färdigskriven, gitarren ostämd och jag hade skadat mina fingertoppar med en kökskniv för att få fram rätt känsla.

Body in white: A Mournful Accolade

I read that The Haunted used a 5150 with a Marshall cab on Revolver. Gave it at try with the TSE x50 using the FCL Boogieman (Mesa) IR. Sad that I couldn't get closer to the tone, probably because of the missing high end from my input signal. With a better DI and some tweeking one could get even better results. Overall, lots of bass and highs, very low mids with a boost for clarity. Settings are as follows.

-VST: TSE x50 mkII (demo version)
-Tube: 6L6 no mk2 mod used
-IR: FCL-Boogieman
-EQ: Bass-6, Mid-1, Treble-9, Low End-6, Presence-8
-Boost: Pandora with the lows boosted at 3 o' clock highs reduced to 10 o' clock and symmetry at 11 o' clock.
-Some EQ cuts at 500hz, 900hz, and 4.9Khz. Used a low pass filter at about 15k.
-Single tracked for both channels. The Haunted probably used dual tracking which could make the result even better.

Again, settings may vary depending on the pickups, DI, preamps etc.

Idag för exakt ett år sen fick jag för mig att jag skulle skriva en lounge-låt. Vad det nu är.
Jag improviserade ihop den på 20-30 minuter i Jannes soffa i Lidköping under tiden som TVn stod på.
10 sekunder in i klippet kan man  höra ljudet från filmen! Hör du vilken det är?

Tyvärr har inte Garageband i min iPad någon autotune-funktion, men jag ville inte klippa bort min första leadsånginsats någonsin :)

Slutsats: Ta inte låten på för stort allvar!
