Mark Du Mosch is a master of electronics. Gracing a glut of labels in a career spanning more than a decade, he arrives at Schrödinger’s Box with a very special release. Presence is a fiver tracker of enviable quality. Set in the canon of warm techno, Du Mosch focuses on melody and texture. “Studio M Uno” is bright and unassuming, “Koriander” both assured and fragile. The tracks on offer feel like the musical accompaniment to a Summer’s day, a time where cares are in the present and future worries do not exist. The unseen complexities of the everyday are an audio focus, the intertwined interplay of drum patterns in “Mrk I Utilities” and the mechanical dawn of the title piece throb with a human pulse. Always present, but never imposed, is the techno composition that brought this dutchman to the attention of so many. This is plain to hear in the diverse threads that are collected to produce the rich and varied closer, “Too Much.”

A 12” filled to the brim with talent, Schrödinger’s Box have collected three juggernauts of wave tainted electronics for the latest. Dmitry Distant teams up with Norwell for a partnership of serious intent. The pair deliver a trio of blackened tracks, opening with the ghoulish caverns of “Transient State” before the long shadows, acid stains and painful echoes of “Visionary.” The duo venture into brighter territory with the computer funk of “On A Verge of Veil”, crisp beats and bubbling melodies changing the tone. Following Beyond the War, Cute Heels returns to occupy the flip. The Colombian is immediately on it with the swirling mirrors of “Kuriyaki Horizons,” a kick drum offering solid footing in this entrancing piece. An aloof, yet alluring, disco hook takes hold for “Litua”, a low thump keeping time. The finale arrives with the clipped industrial gait of “Determinated In Order.” Marching to a military beat, this work is industrial inspired with Cute Heels keeping a close ear to the pressure release gauge.

"I've recently recorded a new project called Muladona, named after a book by the same name, about a cursed woman who turned into the devil's mule. I started recording at the peak of the COVID pandemic here in Israel, and wanted to convey the tense atmosphere of the book and of the times.
In this project I've worked with less gear, and focused more on textures, to create an eerie, haunted and somewhat distorted sound."
"Every night, the Muladona, a doomed soul transformed into the Devil's mule, visits Verge and forces him to listen to a horrific tale. Each night, as Verge huddles under his bed sheets, the monster's supernatural tales tear his soul apart."

Mule Driver is a Tel Aviv based producer, sound artist, musician and DJ, Founder and Owner of Confused Machines label, bass player in the renounced industrial-punk band Mujahideen, and half of the library music duo Group Modular.



Mule Driver’s music is a dark tribute to the sound of classic analogue machines and acid-house aesthetics, wrapped up in a unique live delivery.
Throwing beats with fat acid bass-lines into a live dynamic mix to create his trademark sound - a fusion of dark, mechanic grooves with a strong soulful and warm feeling. Perfectly authentic and true to itself.
Mule Driver has carved a unique and singular voice in the local (Israeli) music scene and beyond. Playing on a regular basis around the world alongside acclaimed artists such as Legowelt, DMX Krew, I-F, Hieroglyphic Being, Psychic TV to name a few. He is a longtime resident act at IFM festival in The Hague.

PREMIERE: Mule Driver - Muladona 12 [Sons Of Traders]

On 26 February, hundreds of Israeli settlers went on a violent late-night rampage in Huwara and other villages in the northern West Bank, leaving one local resident dead and 100 others injured and the town ablaze.

This compilation of music was put together in order to raise funds that can hopefully give some aid to the residents of Huwara, all of the proceeds Confused Machines make from digital sales will go directly to Physicians For Human Rights – Israel (PHRI) www.phr.org.il An NGO that works in the occupied Palestinian territory, promoting Palestinians' right to health and providing direct medical and humanitarian assistance.

The compilation hosts a roster of both local and international artists spanning a wide spectrum of leftfield electronic music. Acid, Drone, Noise, Downtempo, Techno, SoundCollage and more.
All of these tracks are new and have not been heard before, many of them have been created with Huwara and Palestine in mind.

Though we know our reach is limited, we see this as a part of a bigger political effort to help raise awareness in our artistic circles and set motion to positive forces in dark times.

Another 5 cuts here that pull no stops, but go straight for the gas pedal. From the electro infused opener 'Somebody Feels Strange' to the massive slab of monolithic techno of closer 'Undergrowth', this is some of the best that the European underground has to offer right now. Bene is an expert producer, making everything sound great and balanced and offering new twists and turns on a genre that is becoming ripe with old age. Superb acid with electro and techno undertones from one of the masters of the genre!
