Starless Nights

It's a track about the bitterness and anger that builds when you open yourself up and being vulnerable. Because when you do, sometimes you're taken advantage of, and you try to push it down, but it always ends up building and changing you.

 I originally wrote this because of my previous workplace that left me like a shell of a person, but this also really started taking shape when I started building relationships with people. I'm normally a jovial person, but sometimes like venom it starts to take a hold of your system. 

It's also been dubbed by some of my fans as the werewolf song, and I honestly won't dissuade them. It's always interesting how a listener will take and interpret it, and of all meanings they took from it, I think that's a pretty innocent one. So I'll let it slide.

Howl

I wrote this back last June, and many of my friends had commented that I really hadn't written an upbeat song. Or at least happy. So I decided as a challenge I would. 

Anyone who knows me, knows that I have what is called sound to color synthesia. So what that means is I see sound as color. So when I am at music festivals or even at karaoke, I can see these colors that raise due to tempo, pitch, rhythm, etc. 

So I approach this from my perspective when I see someone who just has a great voice. It just paints the room with just color. 

It's also an allegory for when almost love at first sight. Your world just lights up. They paint the world with who they are. So in a sense seeing them is like watching fireworks. So secretly it's really just a summer love song. I hope you like.

Fireworks

A Stripped version of my song Gravity. The initial idea came when I was watching a documentary on black holes. So I thought, what if falling in love is like that, and it's startling at first. And as you fall in love, sometimes you fall in love before they do, and I just mixed it together for this song. This is the stripped early version before the mix of the slowed version. It's all very raw, and so far I like it.

Lanosmire is a Alternative/Indie Singer-Songwriter named Jordan Schmidt in Chicago, Illinois.  

With his first official release on Spotify "Howl," is the first taste for the future releases. "It is a deeply personal statement from past experience about opening up and being vulnerable in a world that is incredibly cynical. How that world tends to take advantage of innocence, and how the urge to strike back is so hard that it's digs in deep like venom."

Now with the release of his second single, "Is It Me," he continues to aim higher and higher before the release of the the upcoming album Paper Heart Love Stories. "Is It Me tells the story that we all have in our lives, as we watch ourselves continue to mess up, while striking for change. That internal voice screaming, what are you doing, and yet feeling stuck watching things fall apart."

Infusing alternative rock with undertones of pop, folk, and blues influence, Lanosmire has started his journey of starting over beyond a label. His musical Influences include City and Colour, Bill Withers, The Lumineers, Matchbox Twenty, and Bright Eyes. 

Jordan has been writing songs since he was 18 and has performed in a number of bands  including bands such as the Philadelphia Experiment, Armada, and On the 11th, as well as song written for other artists. 

Known for infusing styles rhythmic melodies, and call and release chorus, Lanosmire looks to deliver heart felt experiences and introspective journeys  of the soul.
