"Bluntskull's productions harken back to the days when dancehall artists were dabbling in hip hop in the early '90s. Many of his tunes are gritty time capsules that seem to be an attempt to resurrect a bygone sound in an age filled with auto-tune and plodding, minimal, bass heavy tracks. 
However, as a selector, Bluntskull appears not to be entirely stuck in the past as vibrant, modern, dancehall-inspired tunes can be heard in his sets. He realizes that music is evolutionary and expansive so there is no sense in being tied down to one genre. Don't be surprised to hear up-to-the-minute ragga jungle, breaks and dancehall bangers shelling down the place when he's in the area."

For my last mix of the year, here's a little Christmas present from me to you: an all-vinyl tribute to my favorite new skool jungle producer: @tim-reaper!

He's probably best known for his atmospheric Amen tearouts, so of course there are plenty of tunes in that style included, but I also tried to show some of the diversity of his output, by also reaching for some rollers, some ragga jungle, and even some old skool hardcore/jungle tekno influenced stuff. This mix was thrown together in one take last night, so there are a few slightly rough moments, but overall I am very pleased with the final results - hopefully you will be as well!
