The Colombian Marcelo Berges(@prizma-9)is a musician, musical producer and DJ based on Costa Rica. Raised surrounded by Andean instruments; dancing malambo and joropo; he learned from an early age how essential it is to value his local sonorities. Nowadays, he's producing a mix of those old sounds printed on his childhood and is honoring the native old Latin American music background with a very generous pinch of modern deep bassy downtempo. 

Unlike our previous editions, it's safe to say that this week sonic walk is up to three hours and was genuinely live recorded three days ago by Mr. Berges during the special event called 'La Danza del Sol', which foresaw founds collection for the rebuilding of the local museum 'Taller del Artista' from scratch after it has burnt down. For this worthy cause Marcelo brought up great music, but reading between the lines, it does highlight a very important message: we must always remember that destruction gives space for reborn and the sun will rise again on a eternal dance.

Recently he has turned his focus to music production and 2019 has seen A1000EYES release several tracks on independent record labels from around the world.

"Since my early age, I grew curious and explored sounds from different parts of the world. I always tried to be very open-minded musically speaking and you can sense in my selection an influence of my travels and residencies in Latin America. With each of my sets, I want to tell a story in a conscientious way by blending organic and folkloric sounds with electronic music.

This one starts with a very organic touch and as it evolves, it drifts into deeper sounds. I wanted to dedicate this set to Francia Márquez, a Colombian social leader which I admire for her combat to defend her community’s territory against illegal mining, by including a speech of her in my Intro.
