@samosarecords are back with with another seriously classy 12" with this one coming from new signing to the label, Greek duo, Lex & Locke (@lex-athens & @locke-move).

Packing in three tracks of twisted percussive disco with all manner of influences it's a real powerhouse of a release. From the lazer synths to guitar grooves and African influenced heavy downtempo funk gems all backed up by some brilliant percussion it's a great release.

Following on last year’s standout 7” release from Diogo Strausz, RNT now reveals the incredible extended mixes of the original pair of tunes, along with a strikingly beautiful remix of the title track by the inimitable Ron Trent. Originally conceived by the Brazilian producer to be long form songs that showcased the deep musicianship of Strausz and his cohorts, extended organ and piano solos and instrumentation now stretch out in all their jazzy glory across one side of a heavyweight 180g 12”. On the the A-side, Ron Trent takes Emancipação positively interstellar, with added instrumentation and mounting percussion that builds toward a soulful and hypnotic peak, the way only he can do!

Mr Mendel’s disco credentials have been growing steadily in stature over the last few years. 

Here the Dutch boogieman drops two killer jams for the Disco Deviance imprint. Both demonstrate his clean and tidy approach to editing which focuses on the quality of the original source material and a delicate desire to enhance and ease only the very best out of the music he loves so much. 

As such he owes much to his Chicago mentor and good friend Rahaan whose influence and sound can be detected in these reworks. This is of course a good thing.
