Lapearla was born in Tacoma, Washington but relocated to Queens, NY at the age of 3. Throughout his years his musical talents were honed by the large variety of music played by his mother who was an active duty Staff Sergeant in the military at the time. By age 7,Lapearla could write full songs complete with choruses, bridges, verses and addlibs. "I had a very keen sense for music, I would listen to all these different genres of music and I would hear different notes, and chords that no one else that was listening could hear." "Music guided me, and has definitely on numerous occasions kept me out of harms way." Some legendary artists that Lapearla grew up studying were Micheal Jackson, Sade, Bobby Caldwell, Marvin Gaye to name a few.
