CASSIMM’s remix of Radio Slave vs Audion’s ‘Mouth To Mouth’ continues the story of Matthew Dear’s classic, which Radio Slave revived and reinvented as part of his 2024 LP, ‘Venti’.

Radio Slave’s hi-NRG disco cover of Audion’s minimal/maximal 2006 and era-defining anthem has dominated dancefloors since it emerged as a single in late 2023, with the likes of Erol Alkan, Job Jobse, Sean Johnston, Jennifer Cardini and Eats Everything continuing to play it today and the latter awarding it an Essential New Tune whilst sitting in for Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1.

Now, recent Rekids alum CASSIMM continues his huge run of form with a chunky, main-room house interpretation that shows just why his recent release, ‘House of Moves,’ won DJ support from the likes of Tong, Arielle Free, Paul Woolford, Honey Dijon, and Jennifer Loveless.

CASSIMS’s remix of Radio Slave vs Audion quickly follows Lindstrom and Solomun’s remixes of the ‘Venti’ LP’s tracks, which have seen support from the likes of Ivan Smagghe, Chloé Caillet, Nightmares On Wax, and more.

It’s the kind of House Tiger Stripes does best, with follow-up ‘Goddess’ chugging along with more deep low-end while eﬀective sampling breaks up the arrangement throughout.

Strange Idols’ Tiger Stripes is a prolific producer, remixer, and DJ active since the early 2000s. He’s collaborated with artists like Kerri Chandler and Jerome Sydenham and released music via heavyweight underground imprints, including Hot Creations, Get Physical, and Rekids, where his ‘I Heard It Through The Bassline’ EP won support from artists like Solomun, Laurent Garnier, Seth Troxler, Honey Dijon, HAAi, and more.

For the 12th vinyl release Wicked Bass welcomes Galdoors co-owner Junes, who gives us the light again on his current music tastes through three rhythm driven, UK infected tracks made for the tight, sweaty dancefloor.

Forceful grooves and trippy soundscapes here – business as usual for Junes, whose latest EP adds to a string of releases getting bagged by those looking to work the floor with tight and atmospheric rhythms. The Galdoors man's flair for unexpected combos is on parade in Circuit Rift, where a UK-style low end is flung into the mix with rough drums and 4am melodics. There's a funkier bassline and rolling groove at work in Awake, this time with rich layers of pads and blips. Brass Hand uses a different palette – a sparkling, loopy riff and crisp drums – though it's still signature Junes.

When Dorian Paic, Tobi Neuman and Patrick Ense took a lunch break from their studio session they met House legend Eric D. Clark randomly at the burger joint. After a quick chat they took him over to Tobi’s studio and recorded this delicious 12″ for us. Einzelkind founded La Peña in 2007 as a label for friends to meet up, live, and release the music they love – and here we have the perfect example of such a serendipitous event.
Backed up by a juicy MFDP Club Mix this release gives a nod to the golden era of house music and album cover art.
