Solid Grooves invite Mexico's KinAhau for his first appearance on the label with new single 'Turned Turk'.

Rolling through the summer with a stacked schedule of releases, Solid Grooves continues to drop must-have material from its distinguished family of artists while spotlighting some of the freshest emerging talents in the game.The next new name to step into the spotlight comes from Mexico City, as DJ/producer KinAhau readies the biggest release of his career so far. A go-to cut for founders Michael Bibi and PAWSA across their sets at DC10 and beyond, August brings another Solid Grooves debut with the release of the vibrant 'Turned Turk'.

Guided by the production's infectious brass melodies and backed by rugged kicks, rolling low-ends and skittering vocal murmurs, 'Turned Turk' delivers an abundance of energy as Solid Grooves once again drop more prime dancefloor material.

When I called my friend Walter Ricci to collab on some music , my first goal was to go “back to music” , back to played instruments , real bass guitar , real emotions ! The song was born when we were chilling in the
studio, playing music from artists like Coltrane, Jamiroquai, and Incognito, and this is what we came up with. 
“Head on my shoulder” deserved also an amazing artwork made by the legend Riccardo Ferrara that translates the feelings of the song into an illustration!

Curated from the archives of Tripmastaz, these works were originally conceived between 2002 and 2004. After remaining unreleased for over two decades, a meticulous selection was made from hundreds of early unfinished drafts, with the final versions completed in 2025.

The lead track and artwork both pay tribute to the spirit of youthful mischief — the cover image was captured in 2002 using a face pressed against a scanner.

Musically, the record delivers a slice of classic early-2000s tech house, staying true to the sound and character of that formative era. Beware of the Strainjah. The saga continues.

About to finish another frantic season in Ibiza, we’re proud to present another big debut single, remixed by a high rolling artist. The US-born, UK-based artist delivers this ‘History of Groove’, consisting in one original track and its remix, by the one and only Technasia. ‘History Of Groove (Original Mix)’ is a carnivalesque, well structured, steady and soulful track, with many elements aligning together nicely to create this transient yet great track for any moment on the floor. Its wooden percussion, claps and distant vocals make this one a truly outstanding creation, that surely will make the rounds in dancefloors all over the world. Then, we have Technasia’s remix, a more techier affair with a vibe of its own, where Charles Siegling turns the original into a complete different beast, more dancefloor oriented and ready to tear up some dancing shoes.
