Between Stillness and Fire is a cinematic journey through love, loss, and rebirth — told in the language of speed garage and neurofunk. Across twelve chapters, it charts the rise and fracture of two souls bound by fate: from the rush of first connection and the building of a shared life, through conflict, silence, and estrangement, to the fragile rediscovery of meaning and return.

Each track surges like a tide — deep subs, swung percussion, and neuro-infused basslines collide with atmospheric sound design and emotional melodies. Currents blurs the line between club energy and cinematic storytelling: rhythm as emotion, texture as memory, bass as heartbeat.

It’s the sound of love surviving its own destruction — a cycle of collision, dissolution, and renewal carried by movement, momentum, and pulse.

Following a string of quality releases last year, HTD008 comes courtesy of panix the talented Producer and DJ currently making waves across the UK underground, whether that be from his unmistakably dubstep sound paying homage to the old style of sound, with big melodies and low sub tones, dont be mistaken however this release has something slightly different for the listener. 

This young producer has been making music for nearly a decade but we feel like 2021 is his year as we will se loads more music on our label from panix. We are very excited to see him mark his next bit of work here at Hold Tight Records. This four track EP incorporates a slightly diffrent side to panix’s signature sound of classic dubstep but as always here at hold tight, it hits along with a solid roots and dub influence. Working also with samples and a sound pallete from that scene, we have a project that would bus up any soundsystem dance they get dropped in.... 

Alongside these three signature tracks, Inner echo boys have done a awesome job of vibing up their favorite track of the ep with a huge remix of 'Bun it'
