Isn’t there a stunning mystique to it that sometimes seemingly opposites align and merge beyond easy explanation? I utterly rejoice to feel a deep silence while (and after) techno is playing boisterously and even unsettling at times. It can fling me to a realm that is me but is not me, flings me then directly to “big mind” where no opposites exist. I cry when I laugh when I look in the mirror, I see you. All my failure is a success...

3AM - is my weekly playtime during my residency at OXA Beach. 3AM marks the moment when those who came for entertainment begin to leave, and the ones who came for the music choose to stay. 3AM is the time when I can let myself go and play whatever I feel like.

This set was recorded on Wednesday, September 20, 2023. I was playing from 3 AM to 5 AM.  I had a lot of fun, starting with some Indie Dance, transitioning into Progressive House, Melodic Techno, and even some Tech House towards the end. What a nice journey!

Lost in Time

Born and raised just northwest of London, LAPORTA (better known as Joanna) is a pianist and flautist. She spent her childhood playing classical music in an orchestra, notably including the famous Royal Albert Hall. She found her way to the electronic community in 2017 when she moved to Germany and began dj’ing in 2023. 

LAPORTA has played in Nürnberg’s DieRakete and regularly at Mitte Soundbar with the label ElectronicLiebe.
