Driving rythms paired with melodic elements more known from classic Peak Time combined with the timeless darkness of classic techno. Simon Rivera really shows his talent.

With Quantum Radiance, German producers Thomas Corbach and Yonik deliver a stunning two-track release that reflects their shared passion for evolving, melodic soundscapes. With LAPS030 our latest member Albrecht from Mainz, Germany delivers a Techno 3-tracker that is unparalleled! The title track "Berlin" has a dubby, atmospheric vibe like in the good old days. "Plattform 5" is raw, dark and uncompromising Techno right from the basement. The third track "Gleisanlage" is more groovy, driving and warehouse-influenced and closes an emotional journey through the roots of techno music.

With the release of our third annual Various Artists Compilation, we’re celebrating three years of LAPS Recordings. Time to enter more experimental territories: known LAPS-Members since day one, Kid Kun and Van Kost are back with two groovy breakbeat tunes! Kid Kun’s "1 4 The System" is dark, driving and a pleasure for every sounddesign enthusiast. Van Kost follows with "Liquid Black" which is more chill and dub-influenced. The seventh and final single of this year’s VA comes from Mind Chemistry, the long-standing duo project of our label founders, teaming up with Ekko and Hans Pech. "Smoke Up" is a raw, genre-bending Hard Techno cut that fuses the past and present: distorted Industrial and Schranz elements meet punchy 303s and percussive layers, while a grimey UK vocal and rave stabs add a modern touch. As if that wasn’t enough, the break dives into full-on Drum & Bass before slamming back into a filthy Oldschool drop. A bold finish to the VA—and a proper nod to our roots.

Techno is colourful.

We are LAPS Recordings, a young, growing Techno Label from Germany! The name "LAPS" is an acronym containing the initials of our 4 founding members. At the same time it highlights the concept of time, which is a topic all our productions will revolve around! 

Coming from very different musical backgrounds, the core substance of our label sound revolves around dark, energetic and emotional melodies, forceful kickdrums and driving basslines. Those main topics reappear in all of our productions, but so do the individual tastes of all founding members.
