Macedonian artist Dimitar Dodovski has been making music for 20 years now and Mineralmusik is his 11th solo album not counting his releases with other collaborative projects. The idea behind this album is about using dub techno inspired sonic tapestries and ambient, new age and fourth world atmospheres that shift the focus from the all pervading ego element in pop and electronic music, to the formative forces in nature with their emotional purity and ability to replenish and inspire us.

For more than ten years Norman (DJ alias Burnout Sumner, a nod to one of his all-time heroes Bernard Sumner) has been a vital part of Berlin’s music scene, mainly as a blogger, music journalist, via an communication agency that focuses on artists, due to his voluntary work in the field of sustainability and also as a passionate attendee of clubs and concerts. Over the course of this time he got himself a huge collection of tunes and records and his alter ego Burnout Sumner is his attempt to share it with the world and celebrate the life-affirming communal power of the dancefloor.

His mixes are always up for surprises and notoriously take genre-hopping detours where oldschool tracks can exist right next to brand new ones as well as underground goodies are officially allowed to hold hands with all-time classic hits. For Burnout Sumner, a good DJ set always calls for a few proper pop moments to resonate with the audience. As a curator he’s open to all sorts of genres, as DJ he’s mostly focussing on soulful house music and retro-driven 90s rave vibes, he also shares a deep love for other grooving genres from funk to hi-energy.

Hi all! I had an awesome opportunity to go play for MinnElectro up in Minneapolis and be on their Twitch Stream. The location was a super cool spot, a sex shop! I know, I know, wild. But seriously, it was really fun just having a bunch of friends hang around and jam out to some awesome tunes for 5 hours and enjoy one another company, dance, and be in community. We need more alternative non-venue spaces, and while this was certainly an odd one, I wouldn't have missed it for the world. Huge thank you to the MinnElectro crew for bringing me up and hosting me. I love you all.

Originally released in 2005, "Tryshasla" is the second "Perennial" series release and was the second studio album by Dutch producer Secede. This classic album is one of our favourites and we are enormously proud to be able to reissue it on vinyl for the first time.

Lennard van der Last, better known in electronic music circles as Secede, has always remained an elusive character, preferring to prioritise to his work in the studio. Although "Tryshasla" is unanimously heralded as his finest work, throughout his career Lennard has continually demonstrated his unique ability in producing venerated musical pieces.

Upon its original release on CD by Dutch label Sending Orbs, "Tryshasla" immediately became a benchmark album and featured in many independent lists of that year. Lapsus Records is bestowed with the honour of pressing this masterpiece in a collector format: a double tricolor vinyl pack, remastered by Xavier Alarcón and accompanied by a lithographic original art print from illustrator Jeroen Advocaat.

"Tyshasla" continues to sound as current and relevant as ever. It is an album with a powerful ambient spirit, replete with micro-passages in which field recordings and piano phrasing form its core sound, but which also include styles such as IDM, drum and bass and even trip-hop. As if this were not enough, Reimer Eising –aka our beloved label contributor Kettel– collaborates on one of the albums integral tracks, "Leraine".
