Simple Music Experience proudly brings you the first LP by a long-time friend of the label, French/Argentinian singer and producer Fiesta en el Vacio. After a tape debut on Unknown Precept that consisted of a patchwork of live recordings and synthetic experimentations and a 7” on Lexi Disques, she has become an expert in blending flamenco-infused chants and the facetiousness of lo-fi reggaeton feelings through handmade electronics, folk guitar, teardropping romanticism, sung in French, Spanish, and Occitan. The album features versions of her first works as a live performer, overdubbed with cartoon samples, field recordings, her own son Lazslo’s voice and texts and spoken word by Ji Min Park. Named after a poem by Alejandra Pizarnik, the project casts a broad range of influences such as the luminous experimentalism of 80’s post-punk pioneers Dome or Lena Platonos, Frak’s and Börft records’ minimalistic yet brutal approach to techno and electro, the foggy yet sober touch of nowaday’s pop avant-gardists Nina Harker, or even Inga Copeland and Dean Blunt.

Fiesta en el vacio is now evolving into a more acoustic act, based on flamenco guitars and voices, enriched with tape recordings and minimal beats. Her live appearances appeal to deep yet inflamed emotions, enlighting revisited iberian standards and poignant spoken word, palmas and acapellas, always on the edge of fragility and out of her comfort zone — that is, when risk and emotion is best shared between the artist and the audience.

EYE is back. Metamujer marks the third installment on the Knekelhuis label and we’re extremely happy to release this document of another chapter in Laurène Exposito’s life. Recorded on various locations ranging from the Swiss mountains to the chalky coasts of Brittany, Metamujer is an 8-track ode to salty love and closeness to nature, a tribute to a modest lifestyle à la Henry David Thoreau. Far from being praise for self-sufficiency, this new LP is deeply influenced by Laurène’s environment. We can hear Korg MS-10 created synthetic waves (Sanatorium) and birds (Luscinia), but one can also catch her singing in Italian, one of 3 languages spoken in her native Switzerland. Still minimalist and yet more aesthetically diverse, her new sounds are on the edge of EBM and synth pop, between classic minimal wave tunes and rustic ballads on acid.

Reymour (@reymour) is a psycho-romantic adventure of a duo sharing both life, and stage, a  lovely cluster that originated in Fribourg-en-Uthonie, and found a new home in Brussels, the pulsing heart of Europe. “Sarabande à Deux” is a delicious arrangement of autumn flavor and forgotten vegetables cooked with love and understanding in a synth-wave sauce. It is the fifth release of CAF?, ridding on sonorities of the 80’s, running between synthetic balads, romantic dances and bucolic sceneries in an alcoolic fashion.
