As an artist from Cologne's vibrant subculture, Julian Schraven has a long-standing presence in the electronic music scene. With a sonic evolution that has led him from a downtempo sound to faster, more percussive rhythms, he is living proof that change means progress. As an artist who explores the liberated space between driving house tracks and anthems for the dancefloor, he is unique and has a compelling discography. Schraven is also a co-founder of the Cologne-based booking agency AYA.

Inspired by freedom, peace, hedonism, and friendliness, Schraven has remained true to the ethos of dance music culture. He has been involved with the Zugvögel Festival, a non-commercial culture and music festival in the Eifel region, since its inception and continues to be involved to this day. The festival's mission is to create a space for encounters, exchange, and solidarity. This is where Schraven's musical and organizational work align: they both pursue the same goals by creating an open learning environment where people can unleash their creativity and where diversity and otherness are celebrated. Schraven's commitment in this context reflects his artistic vision, which focuses on community, inclusivity, and respect.

In August 2025, Julian Schraven performed a live set at the first AYA Booking open-air party in Cologne, which marks the peak of his musical development. The tracks, all of which were created in 2025, embody the sound that Schraven has finally, after years of searching, proudly defined as his own. The set includes tracks that will soon be released on the labels 3000Grad and Friendly Connections and bear his unique musical signature.

Fotos, a half Egyptian-Filipino artist, resides between Cairo and Montreal. Drawing from diverse rock influences, he first envisioned shredding guitar solos on stage. The discovery of electronic music, with its deep, groovy, and high-energy sounds, transformed his creative path. Blending his rock roots with electronic beats allowed him to craft a distinctive sound.

Thanks to Titi and the Burning Sun crew for another 3hrs journey full of deep, groovy, dub and melodic sounds. What I enjoy the most about opening sets is the ability to explore different vibes.

Burning Sun is the place where it re-ignited my desire to reconnect with my younger rock star/dj self :) That's why it's one of my fav spots to perform and the vibe people create is always on point.

This set is a big one for me, I was so in the zone about it that I didn’t even think to record it only to find out the organizers at Camp Summerdaze had it covered! My gratitude being through the roof, this set for me meant the whole world! A sunrise set being my absolute favorite, I carefully selected each track to carry everyone through from night into twilight. This chapteresque performance comes with a lot of emotions baked in and consequently a whole lot of catharsis. Its release marks a new chapter for my artist career as I feel it truly shows the essence of what I am trying to create. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed playing it!

What started with just a handful of people in front slowly built into a sea of bodies, lights, and doof sticks stretching as far as I could see. Every moment, the energy grew, feeding back into the music and pulling me deeper into this new dark melodic sound I’ve been waiting to release to the world.

Seeing my friends and dancers front row, and the ones who’ve been there since last year holding it down just as hard, meant everything. You gave me the fire to push every track further, to let this sound evolve in real time with you.

This was more than just a set, it was a turning point. Thank you for being part of it.

Lara Schick fell in love with electronic music years ago in her hometown of Constance. For eight years now, she has been enchanting the crowd with her tales. Her music is playful, dreamy and wild and ranges from melodic and oriental downtempo to techno (max. 124 bpm). She creates an atmosphere that carries us away and makes us forget time and space.
