Zugvögel Festival will keep a special place in my heart. It was my first time playing a set from dusk into darkness during a festival. The setting is so important for me, to play my favourite genre, melodic techno. I was so happy to finally tell a different kind of story. I saw so many closed eyes during my set and I felt so home that I closed them too, from time to time. 
It’s a live recording but I kept the mic-track quiet until the last seconds so you can purely enjoy the sound. Special thanks to Lukas and the Friendly Connections crew for having me, to the person who did the lights (wow!!), to all artists and their music.

3000Grad festival – I’ve been to this beautiful place a few years ago. Back then I was so stunned by the love, dedication and inspiration put into that universe. Over the past three years, I remembered pieces of that time. But when I got there this year. The moment I stepped a foot into the 3000Grad-universe I felt all those emotions and impressions all over again. It felt like time hadn’t passed. What a gift!! In this world full of change, that community was able to preserve its spirit over and over again. I’m so thankful to experience that. All those hours dancing in that universe filled my heart. Thank you so much, 3000Grad-Crew! Special thanks to all the artists who are part of my set.

My Journey as a DJ has been ongoing for almost a decade now. For some years in the beginning, I have been DJing a lot around Europe. After that intense period of playing and travelling I shifted down a few gears, selecting and mixing Music became more of a leisure activity than it was in the beginning.
Before curating this mix for Flow Music, I took a deep dive into my record collection: I dug up gems from years ago and combined them with more recent tracks to create this soulful Journey through Deep House. I had a lot of fun and relived great memories while recording this mix, I hope you´ll enjoy it as well!

BIOGRAPHY: Mila Stern

Mila Stern’s far over a decade-long career as a DJ and producer has taken her from
squat parties in Halle (eastern Germany), where she first learned her craft, through the
pulsing motley of Tel Aviv, to her adopted home of Berlin and the epicenter of
electronic club culture. Her calm, commanding skill as a selector rapidly made her a
sought-after artist, with regular appearances at premier festivals like Fusion, Nation
of Gondwana, and Garbicz, and residencies at Berlin’s legendary Kater Club and
Station Endlos in Halle. Since then, she’s transcended the boundaries of the Berlin
underground, bringing her signature style to the international circuit from Mexico to
Kazakhstan.

Mila delivers a groove-heavy aesthetic that has recently shifted toward deeper, more
focused energies drawing on restrained propulsion, textured sound design, and
subtly evolving rhythms. Her selections now balance minimalism and intensity,
rooted in the hypnotic but never stuck in genre constraints. What sets her apart is a
willingness to embrace unorthodox sonic spaces, explore the beauty in harshness and
dissonance, and embed arresting moments in robust, rolling substructures.
From her early days, Mila’s sound has been shaped by a sense of counterculture and
the urge to break normative boundaries. Her DJ sets especially long-form closings encapsulate a vision of rave culture as expressive, eclectic, and non-judgmental.
She continues to draw on risqué, narrative-driven tracks and boldly carves out new
territory without compromise even as the context around her evolves.

As a DJ, producer, event organizer, former radio host, and label co-founder, she
pushes the envelope while rejecting genre dogma. In 2025, Mila co-founded the label
MiZi MuZiK with long-time friend and collaborator Mira a platform shaped by
their shared values of autonomy and artistic integrity. While the label and Mila’s
current musical direction follow distinct paths, both are rooted in a deep belief in
sound that speaks for itself.

Few artists balance deep floor energy with such artistic clarity. Mila Stern continues
to evolve her sound while remaining grounded in a rave ethos that challenges
paradigms and makes space for what lies ahead.

Hello again and welcome back to Hidden Garden Radio! 🌿

For episode #114 we have the pleasure of hosting a staple in Ottawa's underground music scene.

DASA is a local Ottawa DJ/producer who got started with music playing bass in progressive metal bands while growing up in the 90s. His influences draw from a wide range of sounds that filled his home growing up - including disco, rock & roll and heavy metal. 

DASA is a multi-genre artist that aims to seamlessly blend light/dark through warm, playful, and always sexy soundscapes with the goal of bringing people together, making them move and making them feel.

He is the co-founder of the House of Kink and SpaceCamp - two of Ottawa’s premier community dance events/raves, both of which aim to capture the essence of some of their favorite festivals, creating welcoming experiences where people feel free and safe to dance, express themselves and make genuine connections. 

He has graced the stage at several nightclubs across Canada and festivals including Summerdaze, Black Rabbit, Front Republic, and AIM.  🔉

Lara Schick fell in love with electronic music years ago in her hometown of Constance. For eight years now, she has been enchanting the crowd with her tales.
