The celebration of the Autumnal Equinox, Harvest Home, Mabon, the Feast of the Ingathering, is a modern Pagan ritual of thanksgiving for the fruits of the earth and a recognition of the need to share them to secure the blessings of the Goddess and the God during the coming winter months. The name Mabon was coined by Aidan Kelly around 1970 as a reference to Mabon ap Modron, a character from Welsh mythology. Dylan and I picked up the threads of this improv project after a few months break to pursue other things. Since #1 post a year ago ( https://soundcloud.com/no-mates-ensemble/duet-for-bass-guitar-and-a-huge-pile-of-crap1) the project has expanded - sometimes we don't even use a huge pile of crap but just the physical architecture of where we are set up ( look out for duet for Bass guitar and an empty warehouse), sometimes its a mini pile of crap, sometime 'no input'.. anyway the vibes the same - make some stuff up : )

Other Locations was originally released in 1996 on the German record label Broken Seal. It was the first CD release from Blink Twice and the label's second release.
At the time there was a zine culture in electronic music, where artists would send their cassettes through the mail to different underground music zines for review across the globe. It was really the only way to get one's music heard.
After putting out numerous cassettes in the early to mid 1990s, Blink Twice had earned a reputation as a unique dark ambient artist in America.

The dark mysterious sound of Blink Twice resonated in European countries, with favorable reviews in the Slovakian zine Crewzine, the Belgian leading electronic magazine Side-Line, Phosphor, and Wounded magazine from Lithuania. Blink Twice was also featured in American industrial magazines Outburn and Industrial Nation, as well as sonic-boom

The sound of Blink Twice earned comparisons to artists like early Delerium, Dead Can Dance, Nightmare Lodge, SPK, and some of the Cold Meat Industry roster from Sweden such as Raison d'etre, Morthound, and Deustch Nepal. Although generally classified under the genre of "dark ambient", Blink Twice utilized much more melody and percussion than most ambient. Many tracks display the melodic layering and tribal percussion that are showcased in some current Mood Exhibit material.

"Other Locations" is finally available here on the Mood Exhibit Bandcamp page, Robert Salchak's official distribution for all his music.
It includes a large selection of bonus material from the era (1993-1996) that was either never released or only available on cassette.

Hidden as the last track is an epic nearly 15 minute tribal ambient excursion that can only be described as Dead Can Dance era Spiritchaser" (1996) meets Delerium era "Spheres I"(1994)

It is an essential historic document for followers of Mood Exhibit, as well as any fan of dark ambient/neoclassical/tribal/cinematic sounds.
