This was unavoidable for me.  Politics aside, I think we can all agree that the mounting innocent victims of global conflict are a tragedy beyond measure.  These casualties should not be ignored as we sit in the comforts of our cushy little lives.

Missiles are raining
From the sky

like a choir

Awaiting A World

Two years ago me and my son went to the beautiful city of Lisbon. I do hope I get to go there soon again and enjoy the lovely atmosphere, people, music, food, narrow streets and beautiful buildings.

Yesterday I started my small tribute to the lovely city, I finished it today and hope you will enjoy the listen.

Lisboa

Inspired by a poem by Robert Bly:

 “Ah, on this planet we are born again and again. A gold sun rises in the East, but for us, it is a black sun. Each time the black sun rises, dazzling and tremendous, its sadness flows into us. ‘If this sadness could not flow out of me, it would kill me.’
I listen and I see a horse-dragon swim up out of the Black Sea. It climbs into the air. Play on, play on - what can we do but long for this dragon-water from the Black Sea to fall on us?”

While making this, the medieval text 'Omnia sol temperat' dumped into my head. As it have the rebirth theme as well, the synchronicity of it all seemed unmistakeable :-)

I continue my musical experiments mixing styles. With this track , I tried to capture the spirit of post-punk rock but with an electro funk touch.  For the text, I let myself be carried away by my irritation against the warrior spirit that is imposed almost everywhere in the world. The lyrics are explicit

Avec ce morceau j'ai tenté de capter l'esprit post-punk Rock mais avec un touche electro funk.Pour le texte, je me suis laissée porter par mon énervement contre l'esprit guerrier qui s'imposent un peu partout dans le monde. It's high time I find myself in a position to choose, way up above the ceiling collaring my room, cause I've been lost for a second you could call it seventeen years guessing when I could stop guessing, and I make the same mistakes tripping on the same white stones not the stepping kind guess I'd rather fall and fall is what I do I guess I'm blind back up again for the thousandth time, the ride is endless won't be easy to forget this I know how to do it but no still don't get it, but that's okay yeah 'cuz it'll come in time you don't gotta worry I'm just waiting on the latest con, to pick me up with puppet strings, and tell me life is just a dream, to save my life and set me free and in a week welcome back the clouds like they're family.

'Cause this is how we're living now, every smell and sound so familiar, walkin' back from out of mind on a sunny day, I ask for one more time they laugh and turn away, but that's what understanding and acceptance means, and I won't give it back for any less than everything, I've worked to live too long to let these memories fade into nothing at all.

And in reality the only friend to me said to me I wasn't enough I wasn't enough, it was the end of me and my friends turned to enemies I lost my trust I lost my love, in circles and cycles I fell apart, but what I had left I held tight in my heart, I thought that I really knew and that piece of me it grew 'til it ate all the stars in my sky, but everything I do just makes me think of you and I'm too afraid now to try. 

It really hurts to pretend feels like losing a friend that I loved and I know that I won't see again, and every time that I bend I'm afraid I might break a ghost of a ghost haunting this place, In circles and cycles I lost all my trust in love and everything I saw convinced me you were right I watched it fall apart but now it feels alright I walk into what's after.
