Man this remix was bananas. I honestly struggled really hard in the beginning with this song which is surprising because I consume plenty of potassium. I was thinking this song would be easy to remix being that it had lots of percussive elements and a catchy melody, but I was Donkey Wrong. I switched between so many genres and tempos I started to get Cranky. Eventually I decided on something Funky, and just ran with it. This is also the first song I've made in a while that has no SFX, the coconut gun just didn't seem to be fun. The SFX might've just been too Chunky for me. I guess it's the Tiny things in life.

Wow, this song ended up being quite emotional for me. I think I just have a thing for Zelda music, cuz this remix ended up being one of my favorites right away. The feeling I get from it is just so powerful and almost sad? Idk but this one flowed out of me so fast that I couldn't process how I was doing it. The majority of this piece was done in 2 days, which is an incredible pace for me. Now what genre is this? I'm honestly not too sure, maybe like a melodic trap or something. It has powerful beats and then it kinda goes in to d e p r e s s i o n mode lmao. I really hope you like this one, cuz it comes straight from the heart.

Zelda: Song of Storms (Vector U Remix)

I've been enjoying the new Pokemon Snap a bunch, what a nostalgic blast! Here's me paying that feeling forward with NoteBlock :D

So this started off as me wanting to remix Professor Oaks Lab. It's basically a 2 bar melody, soooooo I wanted to spice it up a bit with some style changes. One genre became 2, and then 2 became like 6 LOL. Then I was like hell I've already got 6 let's get NoteBlock to throw a couple more on there and there you have it. This Frankenstein of an 11 genre mega mix. It was quite frustrating to transition between all the different tempos and even between our respective sections, but I think it came out pretty smooth in the end! My personal faves are the Tropical House and the Ballad, as they just kinda capture the melody the best for me. Enjoy everyone, and WELCOME BACK.

Pokemon Snap: Professor Oak's Col-LAB (Vector U and NoteBlock MEGAMIX)

Electro Swing is so much FUN!

I know forest maze is a little overdone, but I still had a blast making this one :D The original song is simple yet effective in giving a sense of wonder to the player. There were a lot of great songs to choose from, but I think this one just had to reign number 1 for me. A highly under rated RPG, play it if you haven't!

So... I was working on another project and I accidentally made a Lost Woods remix? I know it looks like I'm just jumping on the bandwagon of Lost Woods remixes but it was unintentional I swear ! It started off as just trying it out for fun but it turned out to be kinda catchy so I had to finish it xD

What a fun song to mix! It might be pretty obvious that I was torn between two ideas for this one, so I kinda just mashed them together into one xD
At first I was going for a synthwave sort of feel, but then I kept speeding it up until it felt energetic enough compared to the original. I think it turned out kinda cool, and I made sure that K.K's voice shines nicely in this one :)

Animal Crossing: Go K.K. Rider! (Vector U Remix)

Wind Waker is probably the most nostalgic Zelda game for me. I have fond memories of sailing the seas, collecting treasure, fighting moblins, and of course, listening to the great music! This is another game that my dad played a lot too, he even made a map of the sea :D This is my favorite song from the game, and it just so happens that it might be one of my favorite remixes I've made so far. 

The original song can be counted in a 6/8 time signature or in 4/4. I really wanted to play with that since I'm a drummer and stuff so there's a few time changes in this one. As always, I tried to preserve the great original melody, but I added a few twists here in there! I think my music gets better when there's more nostalgia in the mix ;D

Zelda - The Wind Waker: Dragon Roost Island (Vector U Remix)

Paper Mario TTYD is one of my favorite games of all time, and as I was remixing it I kept wanting to play it again! (So I did lol) Such nostalgia and papery graphics deserves a LoFi remix in my mind, so I went with that. I think it turned out better than expected actually. The melody of Rogueport really lent itself to being chill, and then dark/evil. I tried to put a lot of detail and atmosphere into this one, so I definitely recommend using headphones or good speakers to hear all the good stuff :D

Paper Mario TTYD: Rogueport (Vector U Remix)

WOOOOO we're starting off the N64 album with a BANG fam :D

The lady picked this song since it's her favorite childhood game, and I think it was a great choice. When I was picking a genre for Koopa's Road, I wanted something energetic but also epic/evil sounding.  This is my first Complextro song, (a wubby sub-genre of Electro House) and I really like how it turned out! I tried to sort of tell a story with the in game sound effects, starting with the evil foreboding Bowser laugh and ending with the triumphant defeat. The intrinsic nature of complextro lent itself to the choppy syncopation of the lead and chords. In short, feelsgoodman.

He was great to work with, and I think we came up with some hot tropical house beats for you all. Since we use different DAWs, it was an interesting process passing the project back and forth. I had a great time making this electronic orchestral space funk diddle. I played the crap out of this game as a kid, and it brought joy into my pants when I made this remix. Mixing orchestral elements with synths was a challenge since their timbres don't always mix well. Can you catch the random theme I snuck in the middle? GameGrooves wanted a single for his album Elements, and this element was "Neon". It made sense for it to be electronic for the genre, and a space themed remix worked well too. Enjoy my first commissioned piece!

Star Fox 64: Main Theme (Vector U Remix)

I really wanted to tell a story with this one. Starting with the slightly uncomfortable, broken feeling of 7/8. Then the Mask Salesman comes along and tries to "heal" link, with the reversal of time into 4/4. This is not a complete transformation until the normal time signature of 3/4 and the mask is off. However, at the end of the song, is anyone really healed?

This is definitely one of the more unique songs I've ever made, and the first one with time signature changes! I tried to capture the eerie, somber feeling of the game and I hope you like this one :D

I'm SO hyped about this one folks! Initially I started out thinking I was gonna made a drum and bass tune, but it kinda ended up sounding like Brainpower lmao! To be honest, I'm loving this remix more than I thought I would, the original tune is just so catchy :D I wanted a brass drum and bass feel mixed with power dance music, and I hope this one really makes you FEEL like batman.

Hey I'm back! The move took a bit more out of me than I expected, but I am revvin up for more remixing :D This one was actually a commission from Sculpted Nostalgia (Check out their cool video game themed sculptures on YouTube!) , and what good timing it was since 3D All Stars just came out! Pianta Village was kinda difficult since it doesn't really have a chorus and the song is in 3/4. I tried to capitalize on it's happy sounding melodies and improvised on them for a drop. This is definitely a slept on song, as I don't really see many remixes for it. Hope you enjoy my rendition!

Star Fox 64: Star Wolf (Vector U Remix)

Just in time for Halloweenie. It's your favorite cackling witch, Gruntilda! I wanted to have a spoopy electro swing remix for this one, and that meant ditching the triplet feel which was kind of challenging at times. The piano and pizzacato strings are the primary focus with some bouncy electronic goodness. I'll be honest, I've been really busy as of late, so I'm kinda glad this one turned out as good as it did!

Wow this one was really difficult for me. I had a lot of trouble making the two songs work together and also making it interesting to listen to. I tried a lot of different genres and I ended up with some crazy dubstep thing! Dubstep is probably one of the hardest genres to get right without it sounding too cheesy or corny so I'm glad it ended up being pretty crisp! I also tried using tempo changes for the first time in this one. Hope you enjoy!

Super Smash Bros: Character Select & Duel Zone (Vector U Remix)

So this isn't your typical happy go lucky Christmas song, partially because I love Chrono Trigger and also because 2020 was kind of a garbage year! Schala's Theme has always been something I've wanted to remix, and this is also the first time I made a remix with vocals in it :D There were some challenges getting the whole mix to sound right and making sure the vocals were on point. I also tried some new chord stack techniques to get things to sound nice and full. I think you'll find this song fitting this time around, so enjoy this dank future bass/melodic dubstep tune with xMEIYIN's amazing vocals!

Chrono Trigger: Schala's Theme (Vector U Remix) [ft. xMEIYIN]

This one was an absolute pleasure to make, and I hope you can tell by listening! Such a classic song calls for a badass remake, and I hope I did just that. It started off as a chill house song but kind of ended up being complextro as well, and it works somehow haha. The castanets were a key component to this piece, giving it that spicy latin feel while still maintaining that EDM goodness. Enjoy this birthplace of Ganondorf!

I definitely had some trouble with this one at first. It's a cool song in 6/8 time but I wanted to put a twist on it by making it 4/4. In the end I made it transition between both, and I think it worked out! This is one of my heavier tracks for sure with lots of bass and distortion, but I really think it fits the Metroid Universe that way. Hope you enjoy this dubby goodness from the original game!
