In search of the animal planet

Imagined crowds are dancing at night
Shatter my silence, destroy peace of mind

A message tossed in the ocean of time
Through muted responses and careful glances
You looked petrified, I thought "alright"
Discerning unanswered questions of time
Door was open, don’t know why
Indifference and anger walked right past by 
I had nothing to say, lots to hide
It’d appeared to be alright at the time
We had a penchant for moral dimensions
Hadn’t expunged them through mean conversations
Didn’t do time, didn’t unveil the tension
Lived a safe life, no profound violations
