Parisian imprint Ekleroshock is an independent label and publisher that in its time, has sold almost a million records.  Founded in 2002, it has been active for over two decades in the innovative electronic pop world.
 
Here the label brings us ‘En Silence Remixes’ by Antonin. Named after his grandmother’s boat, he is a global wanderer both in France and beyond, a sun-drenched character of the open roads who grew up on the picturesque Cap Ferret. On first appearance his silhouette and free as a bird spirit might have think he was a model or a surfer.  And you wouldn’t be too far from the truth as his chosen mode of travel is a surfboard. Aside from his board, Antonin’s only masters are time, the ocean, and the strings of his acoustic guitar.  
 
His debut album ‘En Silence’ was an ode to the sea and to stillness. The pop refrains, catchy ballads, and island-infused saudades created a captivating charm that guided this bard on a summer tour across the roads of France in a van, where he opened for both the Oracle Sisters and Kings Of Convenience, as well as joining the European tour of Allah-Las.
 
On this remix EP, Antonin invites friends Polo & Pan, Yuksek, Kraak & Smaak, Omri Smadar, Lazy Flow, and Dorion to work their magic on three of the album cuts. French iconoclasts, Polo & Pan, bring the tropical heat to the heartfelt ‘Je Veux Mourir Avec Toi’ (I want to die with you). Sonic dynamo Yuksek electrifies with his unmistakable nu disco touch on ‘Antonin’, while Omri Smadar (Correspondent) adds luscious pads, thrilling live drums, and works the 303 a treat on his version. La Créole resident, Lazy Flow,takes us to a Caribbean dream island, while Dutch trio Kraak & Smaak bring bags of their distinctive boogie flavour to the title cut. Closing out in a more subtle mode is Dorion who persuades us to follow him to the seaside with his sandcastles and warm summer sunshine affair.

As a lover of the Ballroom scene as much as a passionate proponent of Shatta, the icon Gala and Baile Funk, he toys masterfully with the sounds of the African Continent, the US East Coast, South America, England and the West Indies, all-the-while speaking to a gender fluid, diverse youth, doing so in the most universal, compelling language: that of energy.

Lazy Flow’s DJ sets are celebrations, collective catharsis, led by dancers who follow him everywhere and push their bodies to the limit to do justice to his music.

His secret is perfect mastery of rhythms inherited from the pioneers of House, the icons of Ballroom (to which he upholds law of the land like no one else), the jerking of Baile Funk, Afro, UK Bass, Bouyon, and Jersey Club. As a true, blue boy of his generation, he is inhabited by curiosity, by this incandescent passion which makes his path perfectly unique. Lazy Flow’s latest EP, Paris Bouillon Club, conceived and crafted when clubs around the world had to shut down due to the pandemic, encapsulates his influences and his journey. As eclectic, bold and open-minded as its creator, it’s infused with Baile Funk, Afro-Trap and Vogue beats. Lazy Flow’s productions are enhanced by stunning vocal performances from Congolese singer Popaul Amisi, English-Japanese performer Shala, and European ballroom scene legend Matyouz.
