This song is just fitting at this time. With a heavy heart, I'm heartbroken to have to report that on Friday, Nov. 25, 2016, our friend and brother, Larry Rust, passed away at home. ALBERTA (where the green grass grows)

This piece is basically A/B/A in form with an extended ending followed by a coda of sorts. It's a mixture of lyrical romanticism, bits of American folk and even film music language. The A section is  based on an older original song with a spiritual text while the B section is all new material based mainly upon the newly composed intro.
