This demo is like a year and a half in the making, not because it was a particularly challenging piece to put down, I just kept swanning in and out of interest in it, but I persevered and I am very glad that I did. Someone very important has requested to hear my music, so I'm making the effort to put together a demo album, for him, how exciting.

Originally written in Yiddish by Jacob Jacobs (lyrics) and Sholem Secunda (music), for the Yiddish musical "I Would If I Could" in 1933. English lyrics written for the Andrews Sisters by Sammy Cahn and Vic Schoen within a couple of days of the Nov 24, 1937 recording. "Bei Mir Bist Du Schoen" means "By Me, You Are Beautiful" - a triple entendre which could mean either "To me, you are beautiful", "Standing with me, you are beautiful" or "Compared to me, you are beautiful."

He has played with such great bands  as Tex Beneke, Sammy Kaye, Guy Lombardo, Jimmy Dorsey and more. Shows include Joan Rivers,Bob Newhart, Don Rickles, Lou Rawls, Smokey Robinson, The Rat Pack and more !
