Celtic Bliss - by Lars Djerf

This piece has a folk music or celtic flavor to it, and it’s a rather positive and upbeat tune, therefore I named it "Celtic Bliss". Much of the inspiration came from the Mike Oldfield ”QE2” album, specifically the track called ”Celt”. The first Enya album, the soundtrack to the TV series ”The Celts” was also on my mind during the work on this song.

I begun laying out the basic melody line on the 12th of August 2015, and finished working on it about a week later, on the 18th of August 2015.

The cover image is a collage made by myself using the application ”The Gimp", with a photo of and quote by the late great Joseph Campbell, who is also an inspiration with his wisdom and knowledge of myth and folklore.

Det här stycket har en folkmusik- eller keltisk klang och det är en ganska positiv upptempolåt, så därför fick den heta "Celtic Bliss". Till stor del kom inspirationen från Mike Oldfields album ”QE2” och specifikt spåret ”Celt”. Enyas första album, musiken till tv-serien ”The Celts” fanns också i bakhuvudet när jag arbetade med denna låt.

Jag började lägga ut den grundläggande melodin den 12e augusti 2015 och avslutade arbetet ungefär en vecka senare, den 18e augusti 2015.

Omslagsbilden är ett kollage som jag gjort själv i programmet ”The Gimp", med ett foto och citat av den salige storheten Joseph Campbell, vilken också är en inspiration med sin vishet och kunskap om myter och folklore.

About Lars Djerf

The foremost reason for me to be creating music is because it increases my wellbeing. That goes for the creative process as well as the end results. If it gets to be enjoyed by others, it is a bonus and another reason for increased wellbeing on my part.

The music can be described as calm and relaxing instrumental music. One goal is to create music that I enjoy myself, and that can help me relax and feel good. If others get that effect as well, I have succeeded.

Den främsta anledningen till att jag håller på med musikskapande är för att det ökar mitt välbefinnande. Det gäller både själva skapandeprocessen och det slutliga resultatet. Kan det dessutom vara till glädje för någon annan så är det en bonus och ytterligare en anledning till ökat välbefinnande hos mig.

Musiken kan beskrivas som lugn och avslappnande instrumentalmusik. Ett mål är att skapa musik som jag själv gillar, och som kan hjälpa mig att slappna av och må bra. Om även andra får den effekten så har jag lyckats.
