Decided to make my own version of the Dutch rock band Shocking Blue's hit "Venus"; once the song was very popular. I decided to make it a little heavier and modernize it - my track is ready, but it lacks vocals. I am a tenor, but I needed a contralto. I myself sing weakly and badly, so I was desperately looking for a vocalist who, for the idea, would be able to sing on my audio composition for free. Requirements for vocals were as follows: more brazen and bold than in the original; he could either cosplay the original or not - the main thing is that he just lay down on my track (I hope it's perfect). Just in case, I saved the track in "wav" format; I am very, very sorry that, having recorded my experimental cover version in August 2022, I did not find a response - not one of about a dozen vocalists to whom I wrote on Vkontakte and on PromoDJ agreed to sing as if I were some kind of shit I suggest ... It's a shame, because I tried so hard! They didn’t take me seriously, getting off with the phrases “maybe someday,” but I’m a specific person. Some found the track cool and unusual, others - for some reason with a Christmas motive (perhaps because, towards the end of the track, the hi-hat part is played by a rustler a la the noise of Christmas tree decorations).

The track begins with an acoustic guitar riff; this riff is played with distortion a little later and already resembles a heavy metal break. Next come the transitions and, finally, the actual track begins. In the chorus, I intentionally went eighths in the drum pattern; I think it's cool and tough. Everything was done in FL Studio 12, except for the wah-wah lead guitar, which I recorded in Guitar Pro 8. For lovers of mostly live sound, I note that I can play my own cover version - at least on drums for sure , because ten years ago I was a drummer in several rock bands.

This audio composition is the result of my listening to the first wave of gothic rock that played post-punk (Bauhaus, Joy Division, Fields Of The Nephilim, The Sisters Of Mercy, The Cure, Siouxsie And The Banshees). This is exactly what happened in the end.
I usually compose heavy and thrash, but I also really like gothic (in particular, the first wave, which is musically post-punk). As a rule, these are simple, calm melodies, with a predominance of clean guitars over overdriven distortion, and vocals that imitate the late Elvis Presley. So I decided to create something similar; perhaps extremely primitive and minimalist, but still it is the fruit of my creativity, my musical imagination, my composer's work, efforts and diligence. Unfortunately, I have no musical education, but I believe that if a person has no brains and hands do not grow from there, then no program, no portable workstation for composing music will help him. I imitate the sound of a guitar, buzzing with my mouth, and tap my knee for rhythm, and then I write it all down by ear in a music editor (Guitar Pro 5.2), and bring the midi file to perfection in FL Studio Guitar Pro (6, 7, 8 ). I've been doing this for 11 years now; I live it. This fills me to the same extent that it fills me with writing my own books (fantasy, mysticism) and drawing (cartography, heraldry, abstractions).

She plays the guitar and is great at drawing; She is a designer and a psychologist.
One day a drummer fell in love with her. It was a joy for him to just hold her hand. This attachment, this love, has lasted for more than ten years. She became the prototype for Helga in his fantasy book A Tale of Strife; he devoted his entire fantasy book, The Lord of Diamonds, to her.

On September 20, 2008, the melodic death band "Blood Shade" was formed in Astana, which included Anton "Laiho" Kobylko (vocals, guitar), Vyacheslav "Scythian" Cherevko (bass), Anna "Chaplin" Vasilenko (keyboards), Maxim Pokhila (rhythm guitar) and me (drums). This is my first musical group; we were all friends. With Slava and Anya, we studied at the same university (though at different faculties). What I want to say about Tosh is that I was delighted with his guitar playing - once visiting him, I was shocked at how perfect he was right in front of me recording things from “Children Of Bodom” live; No wonder he was nicknamed "Laiho" - there is something for it: talent and diligence. Unfortunately, I had to leave the band for two reasons: I couldn't combine music and studies, preferring the latter; also, at that time I was a beginner drummer, while the rest of the band already had experience. But for the sake of memory, as a tribute, I decided to cover the song “Shining” - in principle, I just made a short instrumental out of a midi demo. Starting from bar 22, the bass was recorded manually, by ear, because it was not added to the source code. I also changed the sound of the keyboards and a little - the pattern of the drums.

Many in the mid-to-late 2000s played games on the Java platform on their phones. One such mobile game was Vampire Dawn Battle Towers by Dawnatic Games. Nostalgic, as a musician, I extracted the midi file and digitized the theme from that game, and now it sounds like a full-fledged instrumental audio track.

If I Had A Heart (Fever Ray Cover)

"Amoebae and Narcissus". This phrase can be understood in different ways. For some, amoeba is the simplest single-celled microorganism, and narcissus is a beautiful white flower. In a deeper sense, specifically in this context, we are talking mainly about a person, and Amoeba characterizes Laziness in him, and Narcissism characterizes selfishness, self-contemplation, narcissism, which is an extreme degree of selfishness. The author finds it difficult to attribute this track to any specific subgenre of electronic music; let his listeners do it for him. The track is emotional, serious; perhaps somewhere – sad and sorrowful. It is unlikely to leave anyone indifferent and will evoke at least some feelings upon careful, thoughtful listening.

In the second half of the 00s, the game “Rise Of Antares” was released for mobile phones on the Java platform in the genre of a turn-based space strategy like a copy of “Master Of Orion”, where the user founded colonies on the stars, fought with enemies and developed technologies. I made a cover version of the soundtrack from this game, adding a guitar and changing the drum pattern a little.

A lonely and black tower, half-hidden in the darkness, shrouded in an extremely gloomy, oppressive atmosphere... There is smoke, there is steam, and flames, and a scream, and a grinding sound in the darkness, and someone’s whisper; there is fire, and ice, and dead trees.At its base, the giant gate has a moat infested with king cobras; also, black crows and bats. There are demons and monsters, witches and sorcerers. Perhaps there is someone else in the tower itself, and the lights from the lit candlesticks are visible; from the tower, myriads of eyes look at the viewer... But the main magician and sorcerer did not choose his path himself – people forced him to do this, and the witcher uses his black magic for protection rather than for attack. He is an exile, a recluse, an outcast because his worldview does not coincide with the opinion of the majority; therefore, he snarls with caustic, bitter, caustic truth against universal injustice, coldness and callousness (unwittingly becoming bad and evil himself). He is driven into a corner, he opposes himself, his principles to the whole world, the System, and is very offended that society sees in him only flaws, vices, shortcomings, as if he has absolutely no qualities, virtues and talents. It was not for nothing that this unrecognized genius chose a tower as his stronghold: towers and caves are the lot of loners. The sorcerer's gaze is filled with revenge, hatred and malice – but at the same time – regret, pain, fatigue, sadness, melancholy, torment, suffering, remorse. But just as in “Yin and Yang” there is neither absolute evil nor absolute good, so the sorcerer hopes that one day he will be accepted for who he is, and the Lady he loves will reciprocate. Then the tower will turn into a beautiful castle, and the moat will become a marvelous, clean reservoir, and the cobras will turn into swans faithful to each other for life, and the crows will become swallows, and the bats will become kind fairies. And the trees will bloom, and all darkness around will dissipate.

“The Shadowarden Of The Witchtower” is a 2024 music album composed and recorded by Lars Gert and in the thrash/death metal genre. The topics are mostly topical (with some exceptions). Powerful tracks are “7 Chapels Of Hell”, “Witch’s House”, “Hannibal The Cannibal” - this is his magnum opus, the ideas of which have been worked on for over 10 years. Other tracks on this long play have no less impressive riffing and complex structure. The composition “The Dream Of The Philosopher” is the only calm thing on this release. The composition “Lemmy The Motörbiker” is almost entirely made in d-beat, dedicated to Lemmy Kilmister and inspired by the work of “Motörhead”.
