"Robosonic has been a pivotal part of Off Recordings roster, their releases being highly expected every time and usually meaning instant dancefloor melting magic. With a hip hop and techno background and adding many frequent flyer miles with worldwide gig schedule, the pair shows no sign of stopping. This time is no exception, Cord and Sacha get back in their creative roll of sample wizardry to provide two mouth watering jams. They once again prove their love for organic sounds and reivindicate the use of the turntable as an instrument, adding that old-school vibe to their trademark beats.

“Macho Madness" is quite a trip, sweet rhodes over a bouncy bassline, great sample work adding guitars and an insane speech. As always, breakdowns are intense and its impossible not to dance to the groove!

For the second track, Robosonic joins another Off family team, Mat.Joe and together they go deep into their hip hop influences again working the samples as only they could, a little disco flavor, a driving bass...All the ingredients are there for another instant classic and a respectful shout out to Detroit producer legend J Dilla, who left the game too early. Purple Disco Machine is just about to release his outstanding EP on Tube & Berger and Julie Sikora's Kittball Records. Previously PDM has been at the top of the Beatport charts with his track 'My House' being #1 in the Deep House charts. 

The concept behind the EP is Purple Disco Machine’s contribution to the burgeoning piano house revival that is t1earing up clubs all over the world. By highlighting the piano riff PDM joins the likes of Dusky, Doorly & Shadowchild, MK and Bicep and pays tribute to a classic House sound that has inspired him since he started checking out the scene back in the 1990s.

DJ Mag are very pleased to bring it's readers an exclusive premiere of one of the tracks 'Where We Belong', you can listen below.

‘Where We Belong’ kicks the EP off in suitable style encompassing a combination of clear-cut percussive beats, a thick funky bassline, muted disco guitar riffs, warm piano chords and an infectious female vocal line from House diva Alex Mills which you’ll be singing all night and day – a sure-fire future classic!

The EP, named 'Purple Pianos' is out on Febuary 17th.

As a DJ Lars has raised roofs at world famous venues such as Watergate Berllin, Pacha Ibiza, Printworks London and festivals like Fusion and Tomorrowland with his trademark positive sound. Crafting a highly energetic mix full of little suprises and nods to his personal musical history, taking crowds on a journey full of twists and turns that he himself discovers in the moment, these are sources of tangible enjoyment for him.
