Carnaval Sessions #18 opens with DJ Merci @dj_merci – Wistful Melody, a track I first discovered through my favorite Jemaho (@jemaho) on his Nova Casa Jazz Live show at Dogglounge. His beautiful and captivating mixes have introduced me to countless gems over the years, always striking a perfect balance between depth and groove. I’ve spent many hours listening to his sets -  walking for miles while immersed in their deep, atmospheric flow, filled with stunning and soulful tracks that stay with you long after. Thank you, Jemaho!

Born in 1969, Jemaho started playing music in 1983. He had opportunities to play in legendary clubs like The Café D'Anvers or The Catacombes. He's now known for his infamous Nova Casa Jazz and the latter One15 Sessions. Jemaho is also the brain behind Jazzy Butterfly Records, a digital label that tends to prove that real Deep and House Music can also survive in this digital world. He has also, as a producer, releases on Xoom Recordings, Major League House, Série Limitée, Pocket Money and others!

The name Carnaval Sessions comes from a personal journey inspired by Haruki Murakami’s visit to Copenhagen, where he read the story Carnaval from First Person Singular. This sparked a deeper connection, leading me to explore Schumann’s Carnaval, performed by Rubinstein, as mentioned in the story. Just like how Murakami’s tale weaves together music and introspection, this show delves into the mysteries that music uncovers. Through sound, we transcend the everyday and enter a world where our dreams, thoughts, and fantasies come to life.

Well, here we are : the fortieth volume of my Only For Those Who Know What Is Real House Music session.

I wanted to celebrate this fortieth session in a different way so I called on my two friends Deepsketters, AgentValjean and 324AM to create a very beautiful set for me. I selected for this the best of the 39 previous sessions with only big DeepHouse classics for me.

Thank you, friends, you made the perfect session for me to celebrate this fortieth issue and I hope that you, dear listeners, will enjoy this very beautiful set.
