1 - Patchouli Brothers - The Spirit [Razor-N-Tape]

Hudd Traxx makes label history with its first-ever full-length album, ‘Dial Me In’, from long-time affiliate Iron Curtis. Aptly, if it wasn’t going to be label boss Eddie Leader, Curtis is the natural choice — having contributed more tracks across more releases than any other artist in the label’s history.
Across ten tracks, Iron Curtis delivers a journey that moves between deep house, ambient textures, and eclectic grooves, flowing effortlessly from club-ready jams to home listening moments. The warm ‘Speak to Me Baby (Ambient Mix)’ opens proceedings before the synthy, Berlin-tinged ‘1Up’ sets an understated groove. ‘Roxy’ and the title track ‘Dial Me In’ bring rich chords and deep house warmth, while lead single ‘Troubles’ delivers a hypnotic, low-slung sway. ‘Tensione’ strips things back with bass-heavy, breakbeat energy, and ‘Bodycode’ rides a beautifully deep house pulse. The final stretch expands the palette with the floaty ‘Dance Inc.’, the rolling ‘Signal Signal’, and closing cut ‘Slipstream’, tying the journey together in style. JKriv returns to Rocksteady Disco after a six-year break with his stunning ‘Adaptation EP’. 

This super solid five tracker continues J's hot streak on seemingly every great label around the world including his own Razor-N-Tape, with a deep organic sound, thanks to it being mostly produced in his MPC3000 era. 'Greene Street Lament' kicks it off on a boom bap beat tip. Next 'Adaptation' gets the party started with lush strings, piano, and a huge bassline. On the flip is 'Total Pleasure', a midtempo boogie house joint with enough sub to rattle your car door handles off. 'Vibetown' continues on the MPC tip with killer breaks and chops for all the heads. Lastly, the 'Adaptation (Dub)' closes out with the driving dance floor sound we all know and love JKriv for. Housed in a gorgeous picture sleeve and cut loud to vinyl, this EP is an absolute must have.

Brazilian Diogo Strausz returns to Razor-N-Tape with ‘Gravity’, a disco-boogie opus featuring the inimitable voice of Brandon Markell Holmes. A meticulously produced work of live-recorded soulful funk, ‘Gravity’ channels the intricate arrangement style of 80s Brazilian producer Lincoln Olivetti, with punchy drums and bass, a tight and agile brass section, and tasty guitar and synth interplay. Brandon’s voice floats above it all, equally gritty and atmospheric, to deliver the relentlessly catchy hook that launches the song straight into orbit!

Berlin-Hamburg duo Session Victim bring their celebrated Sidequests trilogy to a close with Chapter Three on Delusions Of Grandeur, wrapping up the series in signature style. Full of warmth, groove and left-of-centre touches that remind us why their music has remained so enduring over nearly two decades. Once again blurring the lines between live instrumentation, crate-digging textures and deep house aesthetics, the record feels like both a culmination and a new beginning.
On the A-side, ‘Too Soft To Be Loud (Ian Pooley Remix)’ finds German house pioneer Ian Pooley reworking the original into a sleek, floor-focused roller. Shuffling drums, glowing synth pads, and that distinctive Pooley touch elevate the track into prime late-night territory, striking a balance between hypnotic subtlety and groove-driven energy. ‘Know Less with Viken Arman’ showcases the magic of Session Victim’s continued collaboration with the French producer. A heady, slow burning cut that layers dreamy strings, glitchy keys, and a syncopated bassline, the track unfolds patiently, rewarding deep listeners with moments of spacious beauty and understated intensity.
Flipping over ‘Broken Coast with Viken Arman’ heads into cinematic territory, combining driving drums, delicate Rhodes fragments, and immersive atmospherics. There’s a mysterious, almost soundtrack-like quality here, capturing the ominous mood of an after dark stroll around NYC’s Central Park in the 70’s, while maintaining the unmistakable swing of Session Victim’s grooves. Closing out the trilogy in style ‘Rain Or Shine’  introduces a new collaboration with San Francisco beatsmith Eo (Moniker/ Circus Company), weaving together intricate downtempo rhythms and jazzy vocal chops. Balancing lightness and depth, the track grooves along effortlessly giving off a sun-soaked energy - an uplifting finale to the Sidequests journey.
With Chapter Three, Session Victim deliver yet another set of genre-defying pieces that honour their deep musical roots while pointing toward fresh possibilities. Their chemistry with long-time collaborators, coupled with the ever-trusted Delusions Of Grandeur platform, ensures the Sidequests trilogy will stand as a modern classic in their discography.

Originally "Back in the Days" released in 2004 on Resopal Schallware marked Tigerskin as a torchbearer for pop-oriented groovy House, reviving the raw energy of early 90s bleeps, swung beats, and untamed dance floor spirit but transforming it with the technical possibilities of the early 00s into his trademark romantic vision.

From the pulse of “Dance Now” to the cringey charm of “Party in My Car,” Tigerskin proved that Back in the Days was more than a look backward - it was a bridge between era's: a reminder that the roots of club culture still grow, still breathe, still move people.

Two decades on, this re‑release doesn’t just bring back nostalgia - it reminds us that reminiscing every once in a while can push creativity. The album and a few EPs around it were the start of a pretty different approaches to club music for Tigerskin, that led to several big tracks and remixes, some now considered to be classics by many. 

The three formerly unreleased and slightly more club-oriented bonus tracks had been recorded the same year but were amongst many that didn’t make it to the album.
