Born in Pretoria and now living in Cape Town, the sound engineer and producer, who lists Pharrell and Chad Hugo as his key inspirations, describes his sound as “something you’d hear from LA...more of an international sound with my own twist.” 
This personal twist lends an edgy take to the revered west coast sound that is reflected in his latest 4 track EP, SWAY. You hear his thoughts out loud as he 
cleverly joins the dots between house, funk, hip-hop, soul, with the percussive 
and rhythm very reminiscent of The Neptunes. Enlisting the help of DTW mainstay silo for 'Feels So Right', with the sensual vocals of Shirah Cheezer, Hunter Rose and Vuyo Renene, an enigmatic appeal has been added to the body of his work - the overall composition of SWAY designates ECHLN as a producer at the top of his field.
