A spacey intro is abandoned for a pumping drum-set. Crunchy synths and ethereal vocals build the track and what unfolds is a hypnotic techno epic…if Fela Kuti made techno. Synchronise is a unique dance-music journey, pulsing on a cloud of sub bass and percussion. In it we’re led through ambient sounds, offbeat grooves, bent guitars, builds and breaks. The 6th track released from Las Mar’s debut album, Euphemist, sees his seamless, multi-genre mashing in full flight.

Sif Ribi is inspired by Gnawa music, a trance-like chanting and dance style from the Sahara Desert. A trademark of Las’ post-genre sound, Gnawa rhythms meet crunchy guitars and lush vocals in this funked-up track. Detailed and intricate but fun and buoyant, Sif Ribi hits with vocal hooks and just a hint of soul making you feel like you’ve walked in on a Cornelius meets Tinariwen collab.

I No Say is a psychedelic journey through tight, complex rhythms to wide open sonic landscapes. The third single from Las Mar’s sophomore album "Don’t Read Everything You Believe", I No Say creates a clash of sound worlds where chanting, tin whistles, washy guitars and homemade string instruments vie for the listener’s attention. Super funky drumming and deep rolling bass underpin organized chaos. I No Say is an oddity of epic proportions that displays Las Mar’s characteristic post-genre antics that make up the bulk of "Don’t Read Everything You Believe."
