Subsquad Prod present the seventh part of our serie of compilations, the CITY SQUAD. Each part will present the dub makers of a city (and its surroundings) through a compilation of exclusive tunes available for free download.

After Bordeaux, Grenoble, Marseille/Aix, Lille, Rennes & Dijon/Besançon, this new part is dedicated to Avignon, and presents 10 producers from this area.

The artwork is realized by Irie Design, the mastering by Subsquad Prod.

As usual, the compilation is available for free download on our website, but you can donate on Bandcamp to support us & help to perpetuate the project.

Being at the center of Haile Selassie’s teaching, "Balance" is also a key concept of the Rastafari Livity inspiring reggae singer Alpha D to write a song on the subject.

Originally recorded on one of Injham’s heavy weight dub instrumentals, the tune’s powerful lyrics and flow caught the ears of Apocalypse Dub Faction (UK) who revisited it, creating his own vocal version along with 2 exclusive, earth-shaking, dub versions.

Alpha D was honored when his old friend and partner in Dub, Moshi Kamachi, accepted to release this project on his mighty record label King Dub Records adding as a bonus track a song called "Vision" that Alpha D and Dhamma Djarra had recorded together on another powerful Injham riddim. 

A mixture of conscious lyrics, enchanting melodies and booming basslines, KDR022 will be enjoyed by all roots and culture sound system lovers. As a free download, all we ask is that you help promote the message by sharing the music with all your friends.

Switchy Dub draws his inspiration from some French Dub pioneers such as High Tone and Zenzile, as well as the Hardtek scene in order to deliver a powerful sound as part of the Electro-Stepper movement with Panda Dub, Mahom, Ondubground and more… The dubmaker from Paris, Switchy Dub, released ‘God Vs Evil’ for free download on Culture Dub Records in 2018, eleven-track combining Electro-Dub and Hard Stepper featuring Monkey D, Jennifer Paulos, Imanytree, Lofti and Ultra-K! A first album which brought the Parisian producer on the international Dub scene!

Like a rebirth, this opus is intended to be more airy and is distinguished by its heavy and intoxicating sounds. The tone changes, the music is more thoughtful, the sound is more enriched. SwitchyDub continues his musical experience with this new opus, resolutely different, in Free Download on Culture Dub Records!

With this release Black Redemption presents a travel back in time to the year 1977 and offers a fresh take on two roots classics.
Side A holds a roaring relick of the famous anthem ’Prophecy’ by Fabian Miranda, while on side B the needle reveals an uptempo version of the well known Everton Dacres tune ‘Jah Jah Come’. Both come to new life with these unique reinterpretations by Sista Zari from Mexico on vocal duties and Mighty Massa from Japan on production. Classic material reconstructed with a distinctive touch and sound, including some dub excursions to make the musical journey complete…
Both sides were transferred to 1/2inch Tape for extra analogue warmth, and mastered and cut with care by Star Delta / Delta Disc, UK.
