It's been a while since I uploaded anything here, eh? Here's a recording of the DJ set I performed for Terminal 2.0 at Radio Bar. Big shouts to Pathological Function for putting me on. No track list, but if you wanna know what a particular track is, just ask!  Also, this isn't synthwave or adjacent at all and very reminiscent of the sets I might have done in the 2000s or early 2010s - so, you're getting a mix of breakbeat, electro, psybreaks and ghetto funk. I played to a very breakcore and chiptune heavy crowd so I thought I'd mix things up a little. Enjoy!

Laser Highway Promo Live DJ Mix

I only started recording halfway through the first tune, my levels aren't the best because I was using the house mixer to control the gain, and there's another minor issue where I forgot the crossfader was in the middle when I just started to queue a track...see if you can find out where. :)

This part is a bit more balls-to-the-wall clubby disco, and I very briefly creep into 90's-style territory and a bit of techno, but my heart will always be retro. Enjoy. :)

Honcho Disko Live DJ Mix February 2016 - Part 2

Again, this is one of my trademark monthly closing sets from 1am to 3am full of darksynth and retro electro: https://www.facebook.com/events/119062538747855. It's been a long time since I recorded a long set like this, and after a night of running around organising the talent before me, running sound, and more than a few beers, there's bound to be a couple of errors, but nothing trainwrecky. Plus. a lot of those mega sawtooth synth tracks basically have no lead-ins or outs like traditional dance music, so no amount of EQing is going to save you. It's all about the playlist and being creative when the opportunity arises.

I forgot to hit record at the start of the set, as usual, so there's a fade-in. The most hilarious is when I accidentally hit the sync button during a mix dragging the BPM down to half of its proper speed, but I managed to ramp things up again. The club didn't care - they never do :).

But hey, at least you know it's real and is the true representation of what transpired, is totally unplanned except for the first track, in key, and if I wasn't happy with how it turned out, I wouldn't be uploading it!
