Hell Yeah Recordings are pleased to present a brand new 12" by Giorgio Giri and Marco Lentano aka Mushrooms Project, a DJ and production duo that has been turning out great 12”s and two full lengths since 2009. Their worldly disco sound is infused with all sort of influences from ambient to house, pop to psychedelia... guess why Hell Yeah team loves them...

The Rio Disco 12” features three cuts. The first is Rio Disco 84, a blissed out ambient cut with trilling guitars, lush pads and lots of seaside atmospheres. Organic hand drums and golden strings ensure it will have you fully horizontal before the end. Then comes an acoustic reprise of the same track, which is even more stripped back and beautiful, and then it’s Rio Disco 94.
This one is driven by flabby bass and deep, soft, rolling drums. Bird calls, breaking waves and languorous wind instruments all sooth your mind and soul as the track unfolds perfectly patiently.

In case you were wondering, we do love cats rather a bit over here at R$N Towers. In fact, the great hall is dedicated to the great Lord Henry Cattington for his services to string chasing. Of course, there are also smaller rooms dedicated to other cats - Mad Manx, The Siamese Twins and Jess out of Postman Pat.

Yes, we love a good cat and when our Spanish associates are over we indulge in many conversations about los gatos. It can get pretty heated at times, their tempers are as fiery as that of a habanero pepper, but in the end our mutual love of feline companions pulls us through the hard times.

Now, onto this stunning track from Gatos Negros - we reckon you'll love this.

The age of the three-minute pop song may well still be upon us yet it is only once we free ourselves from these restraining shackles that we're able to delve a little longer into a song. Imagine that everything in your life that used to take three minutes was now drawn out by an extra ten minutes. True, it would make things like boiling the kettle an awful lot harder but surely it would also give you an appreciation for the little things in life, no?
