[Live Sets]

Presenting a new round of liveset tracks now in playable form.

The first track Toxins, you may recognise it as my opening track for majority of my livesets. For so long I wanted to turn this track into something other people can play, even just so I can listen to the combination of sounds. The mix of the melting comb filter synths from the Digitakt with the dreadbox Typhons epic bass growly sound, it’s a contrast I like to hear and play on the dance floors. Hopefully I dont need to state the obvious of why this tracks called what it is ;)

My second track Tawny FM; Named because I was visited by a tawny frogmouth bird while I was recording the hardware in to Ableton. I wrote this track for the liveset after having a big wave of inspiration from my trip in Amsterdam. Hearing combinations of sounds I hadn’t before, it made me want to experiment with my own set of ideas based around my sonic experiences. I liked the idea of an old haunted ice cream van tune like how we have in Australia with Mr Whippy.

The final track is Tropikz, this track is on a similar frequency as Alieo as I usually play them near each other during my sets. I was picturing a pool party taking place on the moon and what I would want to hear if I was partying in a pool on the moon. I like to create these concepts for my sets because it creates a new dimension to the storyline of the set. It’s always interesting how that will translate in to ableton, but im happy with the results.

Starting the EP with the title track 'Operate Me', this track was written to transport you into my dreamy erotic emergency room. Featuring my field recordings, lots of bleepy sound design, my vocals, and a solid low end, it will leave you requiring an emergency ketamine infusion asap.

Koto song by Dave Brubeck featured on the 1964 album 'Jazz Impressions of Japan' has been one of my favourite tracks since I first heard it years ago.

I started live remixing it in my hardware live sets as a nice way to close. From there I came up with a basic idea of how I wanted it to sound as a final track.

I want more people to know the beauty in the original composition, so I didn't do too much to change, hopefully, only enhance.

Had the most amazing time playing this set. Super grateful to play my first Australian live set about 10 minutes from where I went to primary school (one of them) love this land and loved so much seeing my people get down to this❤️

First couple of tracks got lost due to recorder malfuction and the recording unfortunately only got mono signal but oh well. Craziest experience playing to thousands of people at by far the craziest festival i have had the honor of attending let alone playing.

'Dysphorik' Written in 2024 after landing back in Berlin mid winter after a holiday in Australia.  I decided to release this as a single as its one of my last releases created '"in the box" aka soley on ableton.

What an absolutely incredible opportunity I was given to close out my favourite crews stage at Esoteric 2020. 

Closing sets are by far my favourite sets to play and being given this responsibility was so epic. It will go down as possibly my favourite set to date and I really hope all that were there enjoyed it and all who are listening now, enjoy it.
