Really enjoyed creating something a little different, loved getting in to the darker textures and swampy vibes then ending it on a more light minimal note.

Lask’s been around the electronic music scene since her childhood as a festival kid in the Aussie bush. She started making music in high school and DJing shortly after. Her developing years spent around a variety of electronic music show in her complex and obscure productions, and livesets.
Now focusing on all hardware live sets. Lask's set her aim on performing 'in the moment' made music that can sonically excite dancefloors. Using Analog synths and Drum machine samplers, Lask aims to keep her gear footprint small and the sound big.

Starting the EP with the title track 'Operate Me', this track was written to transport you into my dreamy erotic emergency room. Featuring my field recordings, lots of bleepy sound design, my vocals, and a solid low end, it will leave you requiring an emergency ketamine infusion asap.

Koto song by Dave Brubeck featured on the 1964 album 'Jazz Impressions of Japan' has been one of my favourite tracks since I first heard it years ago.

I started live remixing it in my hardware live sets as a nice way to close. From there I came up with a basic idea of how I wanted it to sound as a final track.

I want more people to know the beauty in the original composition, so I didn't do too much to change, hopefully, only enhance.

The most beautiful way to spend my birthday. Closing the beast of a stage known as the Halfway House, In my element with dust storms rising from the dancefloor at the most appropriate times, police in their car at the back of the stage flashing their lights dancing out the window, and all my magical friends supporting me in what has been the most incredible journey to get to where i have in this small amount of time.

Lask・Babylon festival 2018・Halfway House Stage (closing set)

What an absolutely incredible opportunity I was given to close out my favourite crews stage at Esoteric 2020. 

Closing sets are by far my favourite sets to play and being given this responsibility was so epic. It will go down as possibly my favourite set to date and I really hope all that were there enjoyed it and all who are listening now, enjoy it.
