A singer, songwriter, music producer and photographer based in Cape Town, with a performing style fusing R&B, Hip Hop and Neo soul to form a sound that is LaSoul’s own unique, galactic soul.
His early musical years started in school choirs and acappella groups. He was part of the group Blaze, who performed at various venues and won numerous prestigious singing competitions and the hearts of the audiences.

In 2004, he started music production for his own material. The success of his productions opened the door for his work with other artists. Soon, he was inundated with producing music for a number of artists across a wide spectrum of musical genres. Many of his compositions are currently playing on radio, tv and some being used as movie soundtracks.

Some notable mentions of artists that Lasoul has Sound Engineered and Produced songs for are: Nkuli Dube ( the late Lucky Dube’s daughter). Diamond Platnumz( biggest Tanzanian superstar), Sey Shay ( artist from Nigerian formerly managed by Beyonce’s father), SK Sekoati(Kabelo on 7 Delaan) Chrushanda Forbes(Idols runner up) and Wyre ( Kenyan Supestar).  

Lasoul produced the soundtrack for the movie, “Don’t Touch”, which was part of the Apollo festival in Durban in 2006 ,then in 2013 he sang in the animated film, Khumba alongside ZwaiBala. The movie was distributed worldwide and starred the voices of International Hollywood stars like Liam Neeson, Laurence Fishburne and Loretta Devine.

Lasoul has also won a number of accolades for his production work with various artists including the 2015 NC Dread album that won Mzanzi Dance Hall Reggae Artist of the Year, Album of the year and single of the year. Even his Production of unknown Burundian artist got the artist a Kora award nomination.
As a singer, Lasoul released an Ep called “The Rain” which is highly sought after which has prompted him to distribute material in shows and in music stores and will be readily available soon to the public. In 2017 he founded an Rnb and soul group called GLG which had a successful show in the Waterfront.
Lasoul’s Production Company (Lasoul Studio) has seen an expansion to include Photography (Wedding, Event and Family), Videography (Music Videos and events), Voice and songwritting classes.
