LNOE134 sees the return of Spencer Brown on the label after his well received remix for Dubspeeka’s ‘Geb’. This time the 27-year old provides a double-tracker EP that reflects his brand of forward-thinking dance music that defies quick-shifting industry trends.

The sound of the EP shows more of Spencer’s stripped back side, with both tracks hitting the spot. Using minimal elements and effects, the listener get’s draw in for a sweet and mysterious ride on ‘Cumulonimbus Incus’ while saving the monstrous heavy drums for ‘Sea Caverns’, a proper club banger. Spencer comments; “Silver Linings EP was entirely written during lockdown. I’m a big fan of atmospheric, more experimental progressive and techno, and lockdown provided me with the time to experiment in this vein of production. Once I wrote Cumulonimbus Incus (named after the soaring feeling of my favourite cloud) and Sea Caverns (named after the sonar pulse and deep sea bass), I sent the music to Sasha, one of my biggest inspirations. I’m absolutely honoured that he loved the music, and Last Night on Earth was the perfect fit for these sounds. While these were written in a dark place during lockdown, getting signed by one of my heroes turned out to be a silver lining of endless COVID studio time.”

We’re over the moon to have Spencer on the label and get these hard-hitters out in the world. 16th of July will see Spencer Brown’s EP debut on LNOE - available across all digital platforms.

LNOE135 is bringing some club weapons as venues are slowly starting to open up again. These four dance-floor-ready tracks by Sasha have been road tested and floating around for a while. After a long stretch without the clubs these tracks are proven to get the crowd back on the dance floor. The music is characterized by its diversity whilst carrying that unmistakable Sasha gene throughout the release. The sonical character oscillates between deep breakbeats, thriving melodies and banging four to the floor kicks.

Sasha comments; “Detat is a series I started last year, of tracks I made specifically for clubs and as DJ tools. Now that it looks like we’re getting back in the game, it felt like a good time to release some of these tracks I’ve been sitting on. Georgia Decay and Headmelter already came out on Bandcamp last year but these are new versions. Float Collapse and Tet Offensive people might know from my sets or streams. Hope you guys enjoy them”.

LNOE136 marks the debut of critically acclaimed producer Durante on our label. His double-tracker EP immediately grabs your attention with the same intensity and honesty that producer Kevin Durante strives for in his body of work, earlier releasing pieces art on labels like Anjunadeep, W&O Street Tracks and Earthly Delights. Perhaps his Italian roots push the producer/DJ to seek a higher beauty, but with more than a decade of creation, experimentation, and discovery behind him, his personal journey has taught him not to fear honesty. 

The music on this release is balanced beautifully between both tracks, creating a dynamic experience through lush arps and spacious grooves. It’s a pleasure to hear how playfully this US based producer approached these little gems of perception, you can clearly feel the passion and experience that was put into the music. Durante comments; “Sasha is someone's career I admire greatly, and it's an honor to release on his label. Most of the elements in Thread Tension were played/recorded live on my synths which made it a really fun track to work on. I feel Winder is a great compliment to the extensive amount of emotion in Thread Tension, so I'm very happy to be releasing these together.”

LNOE136 - Durante - Thread Tension

Strawberries & cream. Lennon & McCartney. JD & Coke. Sasha & Digweed. Fish & Chips. Collaborations can be a truly wonderful thing, but too often in the world of music, they are driven by algorithms rather than mutual respect. We are delighted to report that in the case of Luke + Gai, their teaming up was inspired by a deep love of each other's work; and the discovery that, even working remotely, they have a natural studio chemistry.

The Anglo-Italian duo have already stormed charts and newly reopened dancefloors with a single on Lost & Found and a remix for us here at Selador of label boss Dave Seaman's irrepressible Buzzfuzzle; and a fresh take on Hooj Choons classic West on 27th Street by Killahurtz is imminent.

Before that, however, let us present their Selador debut as a partnership – two tracks that already have the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Camelphat, Nick Warren, Yousef, Guy J and Cristoph excited.

J'aime L'amour takes as its hook a vocal sample from a song by Luke's old band Suicide Sports Club, and wraps it up in a bed of shimmering synths and crisp beats, the euphoria masterfully building as the track reaches a truly epic climax.

She Just is a truly beautiful piece of chilled, melodic electronica, equally at home on a dancefloor at the right time of night, or in your headphones. It oozes both class and beauty.

The second single in our Introducing series is being presented by Because of Art - the alias of London based producer Alex Grover. Alex has had successes across the entire spectrum of dance music, most notably for his tracks ‘Elevate’ (Nothing Else Matters) and ‘Higher’ (Of Unsound Mind) gaining support across the club landscape, receiving multiple plays on BBC1 and gaining direct support from Spotify, Apple Music & Amazon Music, receiving two New Music Friday slots in 2021.

His LNOE debut single ‘Home’ utilizes the classic housey chord stabs & basslines we all know and love, and re-contextualizes these sounds into a modern soundscape built for the clubs. The highly contagious grooves on the record are set to inspire a lot of high energy moves on the dancefloor.

Rising star Qrion and Sasha collaborate on ‘Dry & High’, the latest release from Last Night On Earth’s TEN campaign as Sasha celebrates this key landmark for his imprint with ten collaborations and ten global special events.

Qrion has been clocking up the milestones herself - DJ Mag’s Future Star 2021, one of Forbes Japan’s 30 Under 30, North American headline tours… the Japanese producer’s debut LP on Anjunadeep, ‘I Hope It Lasts Forever’ was also listed in Billboard 20 Best Dance Albums 2021. Her LNOE debut ‘Monolith’ in last year’s LNOE Introducing Vol.1 plus releases on labels like Mad Decent and Ultra Music, her support from BBC’s Pete Tong, Danny Howard and Sian Eleri, her remixing chops attracting artists like Alina Baraz, Lane 8, Catching Flies – all this makes her a shoo-in as one of the LNOE ‘TEN’.

Her style is eclectic, using sounds around her in her music, playing with genres, times, and textures to create a deeply individual hypnotic style of deceptively gentle house. ‘I love Qrion’s music and it was great to have her release on the label last year, her track did really well and the fans loved her’ Sasha says. ‘I sent her this demo which I’d been toying around with, she really connected with it and I loved what she sent back. We went back and forth on it a bit and it just came together really easily.’
‘Dry & High’ is a lo-fi feast, with a sweetly melodic vocal phased, fuzzed and shaped into an instrument over a stealthy cat-feet beat and quietly growling bass. A meditative musical mandala for those blissed-out club moments or intimate listening.

“I am so honoured to be able to collaborate with one of my favourite artists and love how the track ended up’ Qrion says. ‘Sound wise you can hear the elements unique to each of our producing styles. You can hear his classic style of bass and progressions and my vocal chops and melodic pad. I can’t wait to play it at the club!’

The track follows Sasha’s recent TEN collaborations with Photek, Alex Banks, Mr. Sosa and Pumarosa, all of which have been garnering strong support across top tier press and radio.

This is the first installment around dubspeeka’s ambient album ‘Valley of The Kings’ to be released on March 19th. dubspeeka has been releasing on the label for years and we’re really excited to present his first album on LNOE. The project kicks off with a single of the album including a deep rework by the young and highly acclaimed producer Spencer Brown.

The single ‘Geb’ certainly sets the tone for an exploration of the inner realms, taking you to a deep place and holding the attention with a captivating storyline. While the most of the world is closed off it gives the listener a chance to look inward.

The Spencer Brown rework takes a dancefloor approach to the themes outlined by dubspeeka, and proves to be right up his ally. The result is a deep and engaging ‘four to the floor’ track, which is sure to keep the mood right where you need it to be.

Spencer comments; "I’ve been a huge fan of both Last Night on Earth and dubspeeka since I was at university getting into this realm of dance music. When the opportunity arose to do a remix off of dubspeeka's beautiful new album, I fell in love with the plucks on ‘Geb.’ I created a syncopated club edit centered around the mangled plucks for my sets, and I’m grateful that Sasha and team enjoyed my interpretation. It’s an honor to be a part of the label."
