A. Tonight and Every Night Usha: First heard in Daphni’s track Usha, this tune can be seen as a re-imagination. It begins with a one-bar acid bassline, merging with 808 drums. The catchy vocal sample, lifted from Usha Uthup’s 1984 classic “Main Gul Badan”, breathes into the groove. As the track unfolds, detuned pads and delayed stereo effects evolve it into a dreamy, immersive soundscape.

B. The Beat Goes on and on: Opening with a sample from The Whispers’ timeless ‘And the Beat Goes On’, this track layers two breakbeats over one another to create a dynamic percussive base. With its acid bassline and stereo sound effects, the tune feels constantly shifting, evolving, and hypnotic.

C. Tom with the Weather: The slowest track of the EP, combines layered breaks, bongos, 808s, 303 bassline and recorded guitar & keys. It features a Bill Hicks quote - “Today a young man on acid realized…” culminating in an ego-dissolving statement and a satirical sign-off reminiscent of a weatherman’s report. The second half transitions into a breakbeat-driven section, replacing the earlier disco groove, while weird, groovy effects ripple through the recurring sample, “Tom with the Weather”

[RO] Vid este un artist in adevaratul sens al cuvantului. Incepandu-si cariera inca de la 13 ani, în Bacău de la o vârstă fragedă, muzica a făcut parte mereu din viaţa sa, a fost mereu lângă el şi l-a ajutat să crescă şi să dobândească curajul de a trece de la ascultător la producător. Fiind de un renume mondial, sintetizează în piesele sale un stil inspirat de natură, pe care îl dezvolta de la zi la zi, dorindu-și mereu să se autodepășească. Acest stil simplu, implica o combinație între microhouse si minimal, o multitudine de sunete într-o unitate de timp scurta, care poate fi savurata indiferent de situație, l-a diferențiat de sound-ul romanesc si internațional.

[EN]   Fruits & Beats Livestream is an electronic dance music channel where the artists of Zebra Booking Agency and their friends come in front of you with the latest productions from the ro-minimal and techno scene.
   Most of the invited artists are from Romania , but depending on availability, will definitely come artists you love from outside the borders.
   We chose to start the fun every Wednesday from 7 pm, considering that there is enough time to recover for those who had fun on the weekend and it is also a day of the week when we can call the artists we want to have in front of the cameras. The set will run for 4 hours, a time that can be a challenge also for experienced artists.
   Out of passion for what we do, Zebra Booking and ALTa pARTe by The Stage have come together to promote this new concept in Bacau. Bacau is a city in Romania with a rich history of underground music. Target Underground and Zebra are two of the clubs that have promoted and powered artists who now make the maximum audience on any stage.
   The two teams (The Stage and Zebra) behind Fruits & Beats have over 20 years of activity in the music industry and they can be proud that they have contributed a bit to the success of artists who are now headliners at all festivals in world (Raresh, Barac, Dubtil etc.)
