BPM tape #41 by Bombyce

OGV Music Awards nominee, Liverpool DJ and rising star producer, Ben Jamin,  joins forces with South African DJ, event curator and Slow Mo Lounge founder, Kongisto, to bring the 2nd Global collaboration mixtape for 2023.

Ben Jamin features releases on labels such as Discoholics Anonymous Recordings, Too Slow To Disco, Hot Digits Music and Hot Gorilla Records. He's also amassed airplay on BBC 6 Music, and the Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show for his song, 'Hold On Me' (the song has also made it onto Craig Charles' Best of 2022 show, this also included tracks from Cosmic Miracles which made it to the best in Balearic/Downtempo for 2022). Adding to a year of accolades, Ben Jamin has also reached number 5 in the top 100 positions on Traxsource and has received a nomination for the 'Emerging Producer of the Year 2022' at the OGV Music Awards.

My session at Pikes Ibiza on 19th June 2023. It had been raining most of the day but stopped just as i played the first track :-) I played 3-4 pm after Andy Wilson and Riccio had set the bar to the usual high standard.

After the first track this sits at around 95bpm for some real deep head nodding grooves. Including some ultra rare bootlegs ;-)

Over the past two years Marcus Liesenfeld, the man behind the DJ alias continued to establish himself as an expert for smooth disco vibes, yachtrock and other forgotten pop delicacies from the golden age of analogue recordings. He just released the latest installment of the series, Too Slow To Disco Brasil, compiled by Ed Motta, a true expert of Brazilian soul and funk classics. Needless to say it became another truly satisfying summer soundtrack.

Today, we are thrilled to have DJ Supermarkt back at the NBHAP sound delivery service with a brand new and exclusive DJ-Mix. But this time it goes beyond the yacht club party and straight into space as the acclaimed DJ delivers a selection that’s even slower than any picks from his usual set-up.
