More than a year after the release of the LP " Identités ", combining four tracks from the crew's artists (A-Link, CD Rom, Dis-Louis and yAs) and four tracks from external producers, Label Affaire revives the concept by inviting this time Blazers, Bootie Grove, Latent and Maceau, to form a unique project : Online Pleasure.

You'll have no trouble guessing that the tracks on this LP aspire to be as captivating and intense as those on the first one, with the help of their suave and mesmerizing synths and drum patterns. Through all the compilation, the different tracks express all the richness of answers and questions that swirl around the eponymous theme of online pleasure.

In addition, Eiviloks graphically approaches the mysterious dimension of online enjoyment, and interprets the sensuality of the tracks, with kitsch inspirations originating from the beginning of the Internet era.

The exceedingly rare and hard to find "Peace E.P." by Raze of Pleasure is getting a long overdue reissue on Still Burning, a new series within Late Night Burners.

In 1990 three friends from East London with a vision formed the short-lived project, releasing five EPs between 1992 and 1993. The "Peace E.P.", their second outing, took about three months to complete during the spring and summer of '92, and was only released as a very limited promotional pressing due to circumstances beyond their control. The guys were on a mellow come down buzz after London's hectic parties of the late '80s and '90s, and inspired by the Italian deep house sound, they recorded the "Peace E.P." live onto DAT tapes. Fear and loathing in Canning Town, brought to you in the shape of a fully authorised and remastered twelve-inch, as it deserves, for you all to enjoy for many years to come.

Raze Of Pleasure - Peace EP [SB001 - snippets]

It's number six for Tessellate and this time they're shining the spotlight on France's Xavier Dusclaux AKA Armless Kid. After a number impressive outings on the likes of Rekids, Let's Play House and Traxx Underground, Xavier turns to the London based label with three original tracks plus a remix of the A1.

Category, which features MJOG (Daydream/Recordeep), combines shuffling percussion over wiggling basslines. You’re in a dreamscape scenario, not for the first time, definitely not for the last time. Floating, weightless and without a care in the world, the passage is opening in front of you to pure light, slightly out of focus though – one must concentrate if you want to gain access. The techy, expressive synth pans and guides you, focus on that, it’s for the best.

After nine years of quality assured house music, FINA Records hits release number 30 with another of its forward-looking offerings.  This time from red hot young Frenchman Armless Kid with the ‘Rewind EP’.

Well known on his native Paris circuit, Armless Kid is now breaking out on the wider international scene.  He's released his bustling, heartfelt house grooves on Rekids and the legendary Classic Music Company, is a Rinse FM regular and has an anything goes approach that has won him high profile fans like DJ Harvey and The Black Madonna. 

 

Opener ‘Shadows’ is a superbly warm deep house cut with real drive in the silky smooth drums.  It's perfect for cosy dance floors, while ‘Lost Days’ picks up the pace with raw and hurried kick drums and dusty piano keys bringing real beauty to the groove.  ‘Brute Factor Disco’ pumps any party with its urgent drum programming, explosive sense of energy and dazzling disco chords.  Last of all, ‘Natural FL Groove’ slips into a funky bass riff, with organic licks and authentic old school production values that make it a timeless classic in the making. 

The super exciting Armless Kid is the perfect artist to make this milestone for FINA Records such a special one!
