Altered State Is an 8 track collaborative VA which reflects on a year that has changed all of our lives in many ways. After months of lockdown away from nightclubs we began to sense that dance music lacked context and became more nostalgic. As producers we were drawn to slower tempo’s and we wanted to conceptualise these feelings of disillusionment onto a record that would be released as lockdown eased and life returned to ‘’normal’’. The E.P is designed to introduce us back into the clubbing state of mind with downtempo tracks that are melancholic, experimental and up-lifting. Tracks which will ease you into a night out and warm up the cold abandoned dance-floors. 

We are raising money for MIND charity with profits from the release.

This is probably one of most significant projects of the Fall season (last quarter of 2025).  Been working on Black Peaches for some time now along with another "bonus" EP coming up soon.  I wanted to compile several vibes that eases the soul, a type of afro rhythm / beat mixed in with some newer style genres (ethereal, house, and hip hop); you'll definitely hear a couple of nostalgic keys.  Album will be available on Bandcamp Friday (Oct 3) as well.

The next edition of our mix series comes from a close friend of ours, Nick Kagame. We've known Nick for a few years now, and have spent a lot of time hanging out with him in his native Manchester. As part of the Dust Off crew, Nick has been bringing his unique flair and refined taste to parties across the north, with our most recent memory being the b2b2b2b2b2b2b (shout out to Chris and Quiche) at Eastern Bloc for our Christmas party in 2019. 

Not only a dab hand on the decks, Nick is also one of the soundest guys we know so we're very excited to finally be hosting something of his after saying we'd do it for the longest time! Dig in and enjoy.
