We are pleased to present our next premiere that comes from Frankey & Sandrino's label Sum Over Histories. On this occasion we share with you the title track of the EP "Severe" by Italian producer Aldebaran, who debuts on the label with three original tracks with a collaboration with Mexican project Ccismō. The EP has been early supported by the likes of Santiago Garcia, Lehar, among others.

En diciembre de 2023, ocho mujeres y personas no binarias se reunieron en una residencia artística para explorar la intersección entre la música electrónica y el pop. Hoy presentamos al mundo PACÍFICA V1, el compilado de las creaciones que surgieron de esa memorable estadía en el Centro de Creación y Residencias NAVE. 

En la residencia se impartieron talleres y masterclasses, para crear un puente entre la música electrónica y el pop, así como también, para generar comunidades y cooperación. Además, se realizó una presentación final en vivo, que es parte de lo que podrás disfrutar en PACÍFICA V1.

El trabajo que lanzamos hoy es el resultado del programa PACÍFICA, una iniciativa conjunta entre los Goethe-Institut de Chile y Colombia, la Asociación Gremial IME Chile y el Centro de Creación y Residencias NAVE.

Este VA se lanza en las plataformas digitales Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Tidal y Amazon Music y Soundcloud el día viernes 1 de marzo de 2024, como el primer hito de los trabajos creados en el programa.

As the dust finally begins to settle after the release of Pan-Pot's massive album 'The Other', it's time to unleash a collection of heavy hitting reworks from the best and brightest stars of todays techno elite. Through careful consideration and an acute attention to detail, we couldn't be more elated to confirm ten artists we know and love to contribute their unique vision to Second State's first ever remix package.

Kicking things off with a heavily twisted alteration of 'Attention' is Nicole Moudaber and it's a tangled, dark trek through dense acoustic layers of audible madness. Next up is the Hamburg duo

Extrawelt with their twist on 'Optimistic Grey' and they deliver a beautiful blend of emotion and groove they are synonymous for.

Following suit is another passionately romantic number from man of the hour, Stephan Bodzin, and his take feels like floating through a sea of clouds, resulting in a timeless classic to be a focal point in any set for years to come.

Next in line is Ray Kajioka's take on '808 Nirvana' and it's a cosmic ride, ripe with swirling atmospherics laid over big churning drums and rolling cymbals.

Following up on the second 12“ of this LP is a man who needs no introduction: Carl Cox. And in true Coxy fashion he turns 'Riot' into just that: a big room, tension building monster!

Broken Engine' is the next track to get worked over and Wigbert delivers a stunning mix of shimmering tones and growling bass resulting in a lush venture through a cosmic backdrop of flickering stars in deep space.

Joseph Capriati ensues with his vision of 'Fugitives' and he brilliantly keeps the vibe of the original yet adds his trademark big room flair to take it to another level of driving euphoria.

Enlisting the talents of Alan Fitzpatrick to remix one of the slower listening tracks on the album turned out to be magic. With his signature percussion, Fitzpatrick takes the parts and creates a dive deep into sultry smooth waters of seduction.

The first of our last two remixes, which are digital exclusives, come from Paul Ritch and he delivers a grinding rendition of 'Riot', expertly crafted for the more euphoric peak time occasions.

Last and certainly not least is a man on the rise, Kevin Knapp with his twist on his own collaboration with Pan-Pot: 'Get In'. An expertly crafted tech house jam exploding with energy and attitude perfect for any moment, day or night, indoors or out.

No matter the time or place, there is something here for everyone and we are truly fulfilled and honored to present this package of cutting edge artists to celebrate this landmark moment. We know you will enjoy!

Subconscious Tales - Aura EP [Suffused Music, SMD158]

Much like the name suggests, Subconscious Tales brings to us Aura, a beautiful four track EP, set to travel deep within us. With an ever-steadily growing repertoire, Subconscious Tales teams up with Loco-Volver, Soulfinder and Stage Van H on remix duties, creating an intensely melodic release that all true Prog lovers will embrace excitedly.

The original mix comes in with a strong start, a powerful kick with light pads that well until the track is ready to really take off. Lighthearted percussion and a deep, rolling bass make up the meat of this masterful piece. By the time the breakdown comes in, listeners have already been transported to a magical place of melodies and with a type of euphoria, the bass is welcomed back in after the perfectly timed drop. The original mix is perfect to warm up or cool down a floor and really get people tuned into their emotions.

Loco-Volver introduces the funky flavor to the EP with his upbeat and bassy remix. The bass is the stand out quality in this one. With a disco-esque roll and rumble, the bass plays peek-a-boo with the understated high hats that act as a compliment to the whole track, encouraging it along. The breakdown, a moment of mysticism, as listeners are left hanging, happily suspended until takeoff. Loco-Volver folds it all together harmoniously and has created a real gem perfect to incite introspective moments on the dance floor.

Stage Van H deepens things with his remix, noticeably, on the first note. The kick in this remix takes control of listeners with an authoritative and confident cadence and by the time the synths are introduced, anyone on the dance floor will be under this track’s complete control. The euphonic synth lead really plays a part in this remix by acting in comparison to the intensity of the kick. As if in a yin-yang partnership, all elements of Stage Van H’s remix stay tuned, locked and in absolute polyphony.

Soulfinder brings us the techiest of all versions. His percussion is center stage and he takes listeners on a different journey than the other 3 tracks on the EP. The beat is upfront, the pads and synths step back into the mix as an ambient, subconscious addition that listeners can process and feel good about but still move under the direction of the percussion. Very progressive in composition, Soulfinder’s remix continuously grows as it plays, until all sounds are upfront and ready for their moment to shine.
