Dispatch Recordings proudly present ‘Dreamland’ – the 2nd solo album from Bristol based DLR.

Continuing where his 2015 debut ‘Seeing Sounds’ left off, ‘Dreamland’ is an album concept that reflects on the world today. Encouraging people to challenge the barriers and comfort zones we blissfully exist within, DLR seeks to resist the inadequate reality we are sleepwalking into; an inherently greed based system, where numbers govern art and culture, whilst popularity determines the success of social causes, as issues are picked up and dropped in the blink of an eye.

Musically, the album is honest, straight up and sound design focused, as DLR pays homage to the older styles of DnB, building on the genre’s core principles, writing his own chapter in Bristol’s long running heritage. A statement of intent towards soul and groove driven music, each track is personified by simple ideas meticulously arranged, as DLR prioritises the raw elements to enhance the groove and sub bass, allowing each aspect enough space to breathe and develop.

Note: This particular track will only be made available via our limited run of Dropcards and on the double pack full vinyl release. It won't be made available to download via usual outlets as part of the digital version of the album.

Concluding our 15 Years of Dispatch celebrations, we are headed to Australia for 3x shows and we're pleased to present an exclusive CERN mix to mark the occassion. 

The Kiwi native, now residing in Melbourne, has been huge inspiration to us on the label, ever since his first release 'Leverage / Insight' alongside Dabs in 2010. 

Encapsulating a huge amount of emotion and funk into his music, delivering groove in even the hardest forays, we were honoured to release his 'Under Another Sky' album in 2014, to a fantastic reception across the board. 

Since departing the UK, Cern is now back on the music, with a fresh Gerra & Stone collab 'Kontrol' out next week on Dispatch 100, a track with OneMind & Hydro forthcoming on Metalheadz, all the while working on his 2nd album for us at Dispatch.

Cern - 15 Years of Dispatch Recordings Mix

For our final release of 2016, we are proud to have reached our milestone 100th Dispatch release, marking the occasion with a Various Artists’ compilation featuring some of our favourite producers from the past and present.

Celebrating some of the artists that have moulded the label today, whilst simultaneously showcasing upcoming talent, the album is split into two parts – the ‘Future Blueprint’; including original / newly remixed music from the likes of DLR, Skeptical, Gerra, Stone & Cern and the ‘Past Blueprint’; a selection of our best loved cuts from over the years, with numerous showings from Survival, Break and Zero T, plus classics from A.I., Marcus Intalex and Duo Infernale.

Reflecting on how the label and artists have developed together in time, further names appear on both Parts 1 & 2, including Script (on ‘Sahara’ with Survival and also the classic ‘Set Up The Set’) and label boss Ant TC1, alongside Chris SU and Stress Level first for ‘Waves’ and now, remixing Nymfo’s ‘Coming Through’ with Seattle duo Quadrant & Iris.

With special thanks to all the fans, press and DJs that have supported us over the years, we are thrilled to have made it to a century of releases; with so much good music around today, we look forward to sharing our plans for 2017 and on.
