Slamming in for exposure via Cassy’s commanding imprint Kwench Records is venerated DJ, producer and label chief Alex Arnout with a vitalising two-track EP.

Inspired by the rich house tracks dispatched by Danny Tenaglia’s Tribal America label in the mid ‘90s, the EP aims for nostalgia-grabbing gold and takes hold with ‘Afrofuturism’. Loaded with low-end grooves and mesmeric, spaced-out vocal hooks, it’s guaranteed to put dancers in the zone. ‘Riffin’ cuts in like a temptress, with an equally absorbing vocal hook and slamming drum loops for a satisfying payoff.

After several digital releases it’s about time to give this exceptional talent a chance for his first vinyl release. As a co-founder of the rheinrhythmik event series he has created his own idea of music within the last few years. We are impressed and fascinated by what we’ve heard so far. As the first resident and musical backbone of the uprising offlocation party-series rheinrhythmik, the Cologne based artist Michael PFEIFFER entered the field of Germany's underground music circuit. His distinctive mixing technique and well developed record collection have aroused attention and opened doors to first division clubs such as Watergate, KaterHolzig and Club der Visionäre.

In the recent past he also played the famous Fusion Festival, the Amsterdam Dance Event, the lovely Distortion Festival in Copenagen and experienced further international booking inquiries. In 2013 he has joined the artist family of the Potsdam based label Varied Records where he put out two vinyls so far.
