90s rave aesthetic inspired producer/DJ based in Paris and co-founder of the @outdom records label, @latentmusic tried something slightly different for us today and blended different musical genres that are deeply influencing his music productions and live dj sets, focusing on the UK/Breaks side of his project. His dark/strong mixtape is navigating between the 90s UKG, Speed Garage & Electro-House to some more recent Breakbeat, Tech-House & Downtempo infused grooves

The EP starts off with “Raw Meat” Shortcut’s take on the New York sound. The track is a mix between a classic house stab, punchy drums and a well chopped Hip Hop acapella giving it its raw and pure energy.

Up Next Marc’s track “Is Love A Game“ with this track, Marc is giving us a lush sound with jazzy chords and refreshing riffs which spread an infectious energy throughout the track.

On B2 Latent’s second release “Watch My Attitude” latent is giving us a belter, creating the perfect balance between soulfulness and deeper sounds. A groove that definitely has his own vibe.

Ending up with Brooklyn’s Baby track, “Only You” reminds us of the classic house divas vocal performance. Alongside a hypnotic bass and an emotional piano brooklyn spice up the last bars with an acid lines fitting the track perfectly.

Now live at the Blur Podcasts the French DJ, Producer and founder of Outdom Records, the one and only - Latent - who delivers a vinyl only podcast with 90s to early 2000s records from his special collection.

Deeply inspired by retro-futuristic 90s rave aesthetic, Latent has been a vinyl digger since his early years, having played alongside some of his favorite artists, such as Youandewan, Alien Communications and Main Phase. 

With an hybrid approach to music, he loves to blend genres, switching between early 2000s Electro, Tech-House and Breaks to more recent Progressive, Speed and UK Garage with a preference for funky basslines, broken grooves and robot vocals.

Releasing music on Label Affaire Records in 2022 and on his own label this year on Raw Tools Vol. 1 and with several releases planned for 2023, Latent has also been playing in some of the most iconic venues of the French capital, such as Rex Club which he will visit this Wednesday.

Then, Latent’s new production “Robot’s Chinwag” appears to turn up the mood, alternating between sizzling breaks and a punchy 4X4 kick pattern, associated with a dangerous electro acid bassline and progressive house trippy synths.
